For 47 years now, he has dedicated his life to Ugandan theatre, touching countless lives through his work as an actor and playwright. His passion for the craft remains as inspiring today as it was when he began his journey in 1979. This weekend, we have a chance to celebrate and support a living legend. Aloysius Matovu and his team will be performing at the National Theatre on Saturday and Sunday, with two shows each day, one at 2:30 PM and another at 7:00 PM. Today, I’m thinking about Uncle Joe. Uncle Joe was just a teenager when he gave his life fighting in Vietnam, never making it home to his family, never getting the chance to grow old, raise children, or live the life he deserved. His sacrifice, and the sacrifice of so many brave men and women like him, helped preserve the freedoms we enjoy every single day in the greatest nation on Earth. And while we honor those we have lost, we also pray for the men and women currently serving around the world, putting on the uniform every day and standing ready to defend our country and our values. We owe all of them more than words. We owe them our gratitude, our prayers, and a promise to never forget the price that was paid for our freedom. Today, we remember Richard Bresler, a jiu-jitsu pioneer and our father's first student in California. His legacy extends far beyond his achievements in the art. During one of our hospital visits, Richard shared this story of a chance encounter at Whole Foods with our mother. He explained that after commenting on the Gracie hoodie she was wearing, our mom took the hoodie off and gave it to him without hesitation, a gesture that resonated deeply with him. This heartfelt moment reflected her eternal gratitude for his tireless support of our family. In this spirit, Richard was allowed any merch from GU, any time, at no cost, and we never knew how much that meant to him until this day. We love you Richard. On Monday afternoon around 3:40 p.m., a 21-year-old off-duty deputy was involved in a traffic collision on San Francisquito Canyon Road in Santa Clarita. He was transported to Henry Mayo Hospital, where he tragically succumbed to his injuries. Our deputy joined the Department on May 2, 2024, and had recently completed the academy. He was proudly serving at the North County Correctional Facility, dedicating himself to protecting and helping others. “We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of one of our own, who was taken from us far too soon,” said Sheriff Robert G. Luna. “Our Deputy dedicated his life to the service and safety of others, both in and out of uniform. His commitment to public safety was not just a job—it was who he was. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who knew him.” We are providing full support to the deputy’s family, including transportation and resources, as they navigate this unimaginable loss. This is a day when words grow heavy. For what we feel goes beyond ordinary pain; What we experience surpasses ordinary mourning. In these days, we stand in silence filled with prayer. Our Holy Patriarch, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, has gone to be with the Lord bringing with him his labor and his works. We, his people, his flock, his spiritual children, are his works. The Lord sent him to us as one man, and he returns with an entire nation - so visibly, so united, so unified, as has been revealed in these solemn days. We are the generation of the Patriarch. We are witnesses to a unique event, when an entire nation is spiritually united around one person; When every active clergyman in Georgia has been ordained with his blessing; When nearly all Christians in Georgia have been baptized with his blessing. The present state, character, and form of our two-thousand-year-old Church have been shaped by him. His Holiness and Beatitude became that firm link for our nation and Church that connected our past to the present, and the present to the future, in an apocalyptic era of godlessness and nihilism. Truly, we have witnessed a miracle from God - the Georgian Church, risen from the ashes and shaped by him alone anew, with his own hands. He was able to do this because he understood what mattered most. In today’s world, many values compete for primacy - freedom, equality, solidarity, justice. His Holiness and Beatitude gave each its proper place, but taught us the most important truth: freedom, equality, and all other things lose their meaning if they are not grounded in the highest value - love. We had a Patriarch of love, whose tireless preaching embodied it. Through his life, he became an example of how one can love all: one’s own and strangers, friends and enemies, the righteous and sinners. He accomplished the impossible - as a Christian, he fulfilled the law of Christ; as a monk, he kept his vows; as a Patriarch, he bore the heaviest cross of his nation. This man had his chance, he had the brightest opportunity with one of the most buoyant economies and messed it up. For each of the 4 years, 6 months of this presidency, each of our indicators got worst, at a time where there was no global crisis. Pure incompetency. Imagine such an incompetent man handling affairs during such a Global Economic crisis. One that has hit even the 1st world country. Did Mahama tell us he was a spare Driver in 2012? Yes he did.. And he told us that Prof Mills started his term and he was finishing it for him? The term was Prof. Mills’ term? He wasn’t part? Today, he has a Problem with Dr. Bawumia saying he is a Mate and not the main driver? The level of dishonesty and insincerity in John Mahama’s speeches is from the 80s. Our former President, John Mahama came to us in 2012 with his usual lies and sweet talk and basically told us about how he was a spare Driver and needed the country to make him the main driver. Yes John Mahama, told us he was a spare driver and this was even at a time when he got the chance to become President fully, prior to being elected President a few months later. This man had his chance, he had the brightest opportunity with one of the most buoyant economies and messed it up. For each of the 4 years, 6 months of this presidency, each of our indicators got worst, at a time where there was no global crisis. Pure incompetency. Imagine such an incompetent man handling affairs during such a Global Economic crisis. One that has hit even the 1st world country. Did Mahama tell us he was a spare Driver in 2012? Yes he did.. And he told us that Prof Mills started his term and he was finishing it for him? The term was Prof. Mills’ term? He wasn’t part? Today, he has a Problem with Dr. Bawumia saying he is a Mate and not the main driver? The level of dishonesty and insincerity in John Mahama’s speeches is from the 80s. The NDC are asking us to give the country to a Spare Driver who asked for the chance, got it and crashed us?

When FEMA leaves the disaster zone, our work continues. The flooding from Hurricane Helene left Mark Searles’ home uninhabitable and the FEMA trailer he lived in for months was suddenly no longer available. The rebuilding of Mark’s home was not complete and with FEMA winding down their Helene shelter program, he was left with no options for shelter. Volunteer Florida told us his story and connected us with Mark, this week our team delivered an RV to him and he now has a safe place to live while continuing to rebuild and recover. This is the work we’re honored to do. People helping people when it matters most.

PRAY FOR OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE DIASPORA. Waaah!! Our brothers and sisters in the diaspora carry heavy burdens, and we must never get tired of checking on them. Their struggles are real. We are currently dealing with two heartbreaking cases — Francis Kamau from Kiambu and Mary Wambui from Nyeri. Francis suffered a cardiac arrest and severe depression after a dispute with his employer. He spent six months in a coma in Dubai before the authorities finally recomended for his repatriation back home. His family, battling poverty, could do very little — but he is now safely back home, received by our team and his loved ones. Mary, who suffered a stroke after her contract ended, has been in hospital for ten long months. She was cleared for evacuation, but the airline declined to take her without a nurse due to her critical condition. We expect her back this week. I want to sincerely appreciate Shiro Sherry, a Kenyan in Dubai who has tirelessly stood with our people, and our Consulate in the UAE led by Ambassador Keneth Milimo and our Consul-General in Dubai HE David Lokemer for their unwavering support. I still remember how our team cordinated with our UAE embassy and Kenyans living in Sharja led by Timo wa syokimau during the repatriation of Kenyans who died in a fire appartment in Sharja. Let us keep all our sons and daughters in the diaspora in our prayers. And let us stand with them — firmly, consistently, and without hesitation.

One of the most notable moments was meeting meow and Jupiter in Catstanbul. We can not thank enough for his continuous support to Stickman in his journey to become one of the Neuralink patients. Our founder , a spinal cord injury survivor, uses his computer with a stick in his mouth. He thinks web3 is the perfect platform for people with disabilities, they can easily socialize and grow. He says: "During the 18 years that he was battling with his condition, web3 was the only place he felt confident. I was just like any other people there and never felt discriminated against." Now, his goal is to move to the U.S. and apply for Neuralink. In short, our mission is to onboard people like him to the web3 ecosystem, educate them, invite them into our events, help them find job opportunities and share their stories in our community. This is Cuddles. You can probably guess how he earned his name. But this sweet boy couldn’t get the most out of his cuddle time, because he was plagued with skin and ear infections. Thanks to your recent support of our ‘tell your dog i said hi’ merch, 15/10 Foundation was able to cover his course of medication and medicated baths. His infections have started to improve and he's looking so much better. Best of all, he was adopted by a rescue volunteer who walked him for several weeks and fell in love with him ❤️‍🩹
