Every phone call with the parents…

I usually have to play ‘guess who is dead’ and it’s always someone I have never heard of. One time mum had me on loudspeaker and set the phone down in the kitchen. She them walked off to her living room still talking and couldn’t figure out why she couldn’t hear me

Absolutely spot on 🤣! And God forbid I try a video call - my mum will keep forgetting that we’re on video and speaker and put the phone up to her ear, so my view is just a close up of the side of her head….

When I’d phone home my step dad would immediately say “I’ll get your mum”. Btw is that a Charles Eames chair in the background?

I can cope with the call on the phone it’s the phone calls about their computer that freak me out

I used to phone my mum after work some days, and we’d spend the entire time with my mum going ‘can you hear me love? And me repeatedly saying ‘yes I can’

There’s just me and my older sister. I rang my parents one time and my mother answered. “Hi Mum!” I exclaimed cheerily. “Who’s that?” Came the response. 🙄
