You should be more concerned regarding the current state of the Defence Forces and by the State being utterly defenceless, rather than trying to conflate the triple lock and our alleged " neutrality."

Many countries take part in peacekeeping missions. We are the only country on earth and that includes neutral ones with a triple lock involving the security council. The security council is made up of countries that are either already fascist or sliding towards it.

You are lying, @sineadgibney. Dispensing with the Tankie Triple Lock in no way obliges the Government of the day to change our policy on peacekeeping. And no, 50 troops is not a large number. It's enough to provide security for an evacuation of Irish citizens, which 12 is not.

This is a really idiotic position to adopt. You're basically arguing that Ireland can't be trusted to take decisions for itself and instead should be give a veto on our military policy to Russia and China

Micheál Martin has essentially thrown Irish Neutrality in the bin by saying Ireland can stand militarily with any country it wants. This is a shocking and unacceptable shift in position.
