How it's highlighted that not everyone does it. He couldn’t grasp how something he and Betsy both agreed to, which wasn’t intended as an act of brutality, could still cause devastating harm. By making it clear Betsy consented, they still made a point that consent doesn’t automatically mean something is safe. This storyline is changing conversations about how young people view sex, one scene at a time.
