Usually I don’t speak on political issues often however Charlie Kirk’s death (RIP) hits a little too close to home. Perhaps it is because anyone who has some resemblance of a following who is outspoken against any narrative online has probably received some sort of threat in their inbox. (I know I have) It is baffling to me that one could harbour such a large amount of hate inside of them to want to have another silenced for having differing opinions than their own. I think about all my outspoken friends who are in positions faced to the public and of course myself and what this potentially means for all of us. This of course, would never stop me from speaking out to what’s right, so perhaps that is also why I wanted to make a comment. To me it is disgusting behaviour to mock/be happy about the death of people you disagree with that have done nothing wrong. I think about all my friends, family who could be wrongfully persecuted based off the delusions of perceived “sides”. The amount of hate manufactured and projected onto you for just living your life and not complying to a certain ideal is insane. I don’t like fear mongering but I also think it’s important to stay vigilant to what’s going on around you. It is a very real reality that there are people out there that hate you just for simply being you and what you represent to them. We’ve seen evidence of this twice this week and I suspect more to come unfortunately. I am always hopeful so I will leave this message on a positive note, that just as much hate has also been met with just as much love. There are many amazing kind hearted people out there standing up for what’s right and building community, coming together. Even if they are moving in silence behind the scenes or in front stage, I see you and I honour your work.

There is so much wrong with this video that I don’t even know where to start. 1. There is already so much free candy out there on Halloween. As someone who is pretty up to date in AI I’d say there are 2 times a year where I am genuinely blown away by something. A breakthrough that keeps me up at night. This is one of them. I mean the video of will smith genuinely freaks me out by how good it is. 2.5 years of AI progress and you think it’s hitting a wall. There’s no point in trying to convince people where this is going. The writing is on the wall. I can bring a horse to water but I can’t force him to drink.

Regardless of what you think of Don Lemon and the whole ordeal with Elon Musk, I think this line from him should resonate with everyone. "Twitter or X is one of the biggest information platforms in the world. Why cede that platform to extremists? So I wanted to get on there and I wanted to fight it out so that everyone had a voice." Those on the left who stopped using X because they were angry that people on the right were saying things that they don't like, are playing into the hands of the people they disagree with. Instead these people should increase their usage of X in order to combat the narratives they dislike. That's how successful societies function. And just like I would welcome Trump back on X, those on the right should embrace people like Lemon because it's so much better to have a melting pot of flavor rather than a boring pot of white rice. Societies succeed when conflicting views are heard rather than pushed to the corner. Echo chambers only further extremism.

It occurred to me that I’d have to post this at some point: I’m straight I’m not on any dating sites. I’m on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and here. Yesterday I blocked a couple of accounts because they made a comment that I had I profiles on dating site, which I don’t and it’s easier just to block people instead of deleting comments because I don’t know how to do that.
