Every time I make one of these documentaries on the ancient past I put a piece of my soul into it. They have my creative spirit poured into them, so yes they are cinematic, they are edited, they have music choices maybe you don't not like. But it's all...

I need to get this off my chest. This is not about the loan denial. I can handle a "No." I am a farmer I handle rejection from nature, from markets, from weather every single day. A "No" from a bank is not what broke me. It is how they made me feel. They came to me. I never went to them. Let me say that again for the people in the back: I NEVER ASKED THEM FOR A LOAN. They begged me. They pleaded. They said, Sir, open an account with us. With what you do your turnover will be impressive. You are the kind of business we want to support. You can do so much more. We can help you scale. They came to my farm. Not once. Not twice. Multiple times. They saw the fish ponds. They saw the cows. They saw the goats, the pigs, the chickens the layers, the broilers, the cockerels, the ducks, the turkeys. They walked through my crop fields. They saw the sweat. They saw the workers. They saw my drive and commitment. They nodded. They smiled. They took pictures. They promised. So I bought into the vision they sold me. I opened the account. I ran my turnover through them. I trusted them. And then... silence. No calls. No updates. No "we are reviewing." No "we are sorry." Nothing. I had to chase them. I had to beg for feedback on my own application. And when they finally responded, it was with excuses. Cold. Scripted. Like I was a stranger. Like they hadn't stood on my soil to see what I do. That was when I realized the truth: They never wanted to help me grow. They wanted my turnover. They wanted the deposits. They wanted the transaction volume. They wanted to use my hard work to pad their books. But when it was time for them to show up for me? They disappeared. Nigerian banks are not lenders to small businesses. They are collectors of turnover. They are fair weather friends who smile in your face while quietly hoping you never actually need them. And the worst part? They make you feel like you are the problem. Like you are not doing enough. Like your farm, your livestock, your crops, your blood, sweat, and tears are not "bankable" enough. They make you feel small. They make you feel like a beggar in a house you built. I am tired of being made to feel less than what I am, some of these banks. To every farmer, every entrepreneur, every small business owner who has been through this it is not you. It is them. The system is broken. But I am not. I am still standing. I am still farming. And I am still looking for partners who see value, not just turnover. Access Bank Plc Wema Bank UBA Group Jaiz Bank Plc.
