My favorite work relationship was with someone I immediately disliked, and he didn’t like me either. We both were comfortable embracing and acknowledging it, joked about it, and it made us super productive—no small talk, no fake niceties, no passive aggression… just work.

I would never tell a coworker that I didn’t like them even if it were true. I’m literally being paid to do my job and be pleasant. If that smiling and nodding, so be it.

I work in HR, I can care less who likes who, just do your job and go home!

No one said we have to like each other. We do have to respect each other though.

It is a power dynamic that THEY are doing. I flip the power dynamic, I do this to force honesty. I would rather someone be straight forward And say they don’t fuck w me than that “weird vibration” shit

worked in HR for well over 20 years now - long as you don't come to work and shoot up the place, don't get to fighting with the ones you don't like - I really can care less - it's about being professional and keeping the workplace peaceful. Period.

I'm pretty sure it's to keep a toxic free work environment and professional decorum. Feel how you feel, but it's probably better to keep it yourself
