The curriculum, developed, covers the mass deaths under Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and Castro, the failure of collectivism, and the superiority of free enterprise and private property. Education leaders say too many young Americans romanticize socialism because they were never taught its real-world body count. The requirement builds on Florida’s existing Victims of Communism Day instruction.

Poland stopped the first Bolshevik attempt to conquer Europe by force in 1920. In 1919, Lenin and Trotsky saw the war with newly independent Poland as the bridge that would carry the revolution straight into Germany. As Tukhachevsky had the Soviet armies on the outskirts of Warsaw, Piłsudski counterattacked, shattered them outside the city, and ended Lenin’s plan to violently export communism. It was the “Miracle on the Vistula”.

This is the simplest way to understand square roots… and somehow most of us were never taught it. Instead of just memorizing that the square root of 9 is 3 because “3 times 3 equals 9,” this guy shows it visually. He draws dots in the shape of a square and explains that the square root is simply the length of one side of that square. Why didn’t they teach it like this when we were in school? It makes so much more sense when you can actually see it. Would you have understood square roots better if they were taught this way?
