A little update on Yuki ❤ She's had a few medicated baths along with her med's and is looking a lot cleaner. Her skin problems are also showing signs of improvement already 😍 At the moment she's still very fragile, but she has the will to get better 💪💪💪 At first, all she wanted to do was lay down in her bed, which is understandable because her body needs to start to recover. She's now started to take little walks, so we've covered her bare skin with a T-shirt to avoid sun burn. We're so happy that she's taking these little steps! 😍🐶🥰 Yuki's currently on 4 small meals of recovery food daily, to allow her stomach to get used to digesting again. She's actually getting up to go and eat when she smells the food now, which is wonderful 😊 She's still struggling to walk and has quite a way to go before she's fully fit, but all the signs seem to be good! She's definitely going in the right direction 😊💪🐶❤❤❤ Yuki is only one of many we're helping by providing food, shelter, veterinary care, medication and a dedicated team to give them all the love and care they need. We're almost running on empty and it's a constant struggle to bring in the donations we need to help them. ANY amount helps us to continue to do this work. We desperately need donations to get us from month to month! 🇰🇿 Kazakhstan has to be one of the most underrated countries. My recent trip to Almaty blew me away (quite literally during the earthquake 😂). Here's a quick itinerary for folks visiting for the first time. There are plenty of good hotels; I ended up picking the brand-new Novotel x Ibis property was going for about $90 a night (a bit pricey for the city, you can get an amazing Airbnb for half the price) Give the city at least 2-3 days; there are a ton of good restaurants, coffee places, and bars. DM me, and I'll share a Google list. A few spots for day trips: 🚠 Shymbulak, if you are interested in skiing. They also have some of the best instructors if you plan on learning. 🌲 Kolsai Lake is another spot you shouldn't miss. It's about a 3-hour drive from the city but absolutely worth it. It's completely frozen in the winter, and you can take a ride around it on a horse. ⛰️ Charyn Canyon is about a 1-hour drive from the lake, and there are multiple viewing points around that region. You won’t find a lot of tourists, which makes the entire experience even better; the locals are super friendly. It's the first city where folks would often reach out to ask how our trip was going and share recommendations.

Thank you for sharing small, gentle fangirl moments with us, for making us laugh, and for surviving the legendary “WE FORGOT THE CHARGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” crisis together! 😭 And the iconic “the IEMs don’t match!” moment, which fully exposed to Stef and all of you that Bella might be just a little bit OCD 😂 You were genuinely the sweetest admin team to work with, and your offer to stay friends after the project honestly made my heart swell because you really do feel like good friends to us now. Today is a wonderful day at LAW! 😍 Berani has finally left the clinic and is joining her new family at our Celuk Buluh shelter 😁🥰 We'll keep her separate for a week or two to let her settle in and get used to her new surroundings, gradually introducing her to a couple of the other dogs. She's very friendly with humans, but very nervous around other dogs at the moment. The guy who alerted us to her has let us down very badly 😞 He said he would like to adopt her when she was better and would fundraise to help us pay for the veterinary care. Now he's changed his mind about adopting her and hasn't raised a penny 😢 We're determined Berani will have a good home with us and be well taken care of, regardless! ❤ We never put them back out on the streets to fend for themselves. In 2 weeks she'll be sterilised too. One of our goals is to try to get the numbers of unwanted puppies down, so every dog under our care goes through the procedure to battle those numbers. Veterinary care is very costly, even with charity status discount, it drains the funds drastically 😩 Please help us to get the best care possible for our lovely rescues. Sooo grateful …She’s ran out of plates 😂❤️ #gratitude My Sundays and my life are just so far away from my life in addiction It’s nearly 9 years now since I had an alcoholic drink or took a drug - total abstinence and I honestly am so grateful for the simple things that my recovery has brought me My life drinking & using cocaine was utter torture & torment not just for me but all those who loved me too . I was a wired shell of the real man I am today There’s never one day I don’t ’catch precious moments’ and it’s the simple things that are the foundation of happiness Family time , re built trust , moments with my children & granddaughter, being creative, performing at work to my top ability, chatting to clubbers .. cuddles with my wife , chilling at home , trustworthy & honest & soo much more I’m so so grateful for my recovery coz believe me without it I would have non of these things Sundays were utter paranoid torture for be in addiction and now they’re full of family and love - the real highs in life If you’re struggling please reach out to someone for help .. it will be THE best thing you ever do Have a beautiful week everyone ❤️

It’s been a couple of days since our last update on Payton’s recovery from pneumonia and cleft palate surgery. Long story short, it hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows. She’s required oxygen - finally got off of that today - and has started crying finally. Before this surgery, she cried twice in her entire life, so that’s been very difficult for us to see because it means something is wrong and upsetting her. The antibiotic is absolutely helping with the pneumonia, but it’s destroying her little digestive system. Please be praying that her stomach starts to not upset her as much and she can give her body a bit of rest. The plus side is that she has started sleeping like a champ at night. Previously, if we could get six straight hours of sleep, we viewed that as a really good night. The past several nights, she’s gotten eight or more straight hours to the point where our night nurses have been slightly concerned. 😂 We seem to be turning a corner though, thankfully. We’re hoping that after taking five steps back with this surgery that we can now begin the road forward to taking 20 steps with speech, eating, etc. that comes with a closed palate. It’s been a couple of days since our last update on Payton’s recovery from pneumonia and cleft palate surgery. Long story short, it hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows. She’s required oxygen - finally got off of that today - and has started crying finally. Before this surgery, she cried twice in her entire life, so that’s been very difficult for us to see because it means something is wrong and upsetting her. NEW ALL IN: $PALU @ 33.60 This is the 2X Palo Alto Networks $PANW ETF. I entered roughly when $PANW was at $270. The thesis is simple: they have earnings on Tue 6/2 and could pull a SNOW or DELL like move. (Breaking my rule here on leverage. The implied move on earnings is +/- 8% so a 2X leveraged ETF makes this +/- 16%. I think that is still survivable if I'm wrong) - Anthropic Mythos is causing havoc finding 10K+ security exploits and that is legitimately scaring EVERYONE - Palo Alto Networks is one of the main security partners helping Anthropic find and fix things before its release. They are publishing so many blog posts and deep dives and really establishing themselves as the main name for this new era of AI cybersecurity - Project Glasswing started on April 7 so while the price is already up 69% since then, I think (just like every other crazy earnings) they will somehow surprise us even more - Hedge fund 🐐 Gavin Baker started a new $90M position along with dozens of hedge funds increasing positions in Q1 2026 - CEO is so badass he bottom-ticked his own stock on March 27 for $10M. Robinhood has this labelled wrong (it shows only 100 shares bought on open market but I checked the actual SEC filing and confirmed he did buy the whole $10M on open market) - Board also authorized an extra $1B stock buyback program on March 10 which is always nice to see Earnings have been massive re-rating events for software names these past few days. Insider buy ✅ TLDR: Market is rotating back into software and rewarding high quality category leaders. They're also beating $CRWD to the punch with their earnings a day earlier. I literally stumbled upon this ticker last night and learned they have earnings on Tue. I think it was 3,000, so because it was so good, I bought it. and after that yesterday too while wandering around here and there, i happened to walk into a cafe and they had LPs there too so yesterday, I bought one or two ㅎㅎ lp's no mater how you look it they have a vibe... its true that nowadays you can just look up and listen to everything on your phone, but another good thing about it (lps) is that I think it’s really great for finding songs you don't know so when going to the lp shop you get to learn a lot of new songs that you didn't know before. even if you don't go with the sole purpose of buying an LP, it's just... really great for discovering things... should I say? a riize lp would also be good... back then, during boom boom bass, we even went there and did all that stuff with our LP too... how was the video editing? back then when i went to school when doing things like presentations, together with other students we would edit videos.. i did lowkey find that kind of stuff pretty fun though because it was pretty much my first time [doing that] since back during those days... but really i think it was fun like... yeah.. i want to try to do it again when i was young i did draw. i drew for fun but it had been such a long time since i last properly sat down and tried to draw something properly with a pencil.. i think it's been such a long time i'm probably the worst at drawing in my family? ㅎㅎ my dad's good, my mom's also good.. my grandpa also draws reaññu well. but it was fun drawing again, so i also want to try that again... why is there so many things i want to do? really why is it? and above all, i want to work really hard on music so that someday i can show you even more. now, like from the trailer to the full version that was uploaded to our site... those kinds of things are a bit different from just being a song, though.. now everyone, let's try meditating together with me sorry.. anyways.. i have to leave in a couple hours actually, so.. time to hit the hay, yeehaw i can't fall asleep right away ㅎㅎ this.. seems like it might be a bit difficult to interpret/translate.. I would not wish ill health or death on anyone, including my enemies, unless I was genuinely in mortal fear for my own life. But let's be straight about this. Politicians can post their deepest sympathies, families can insist they were “good boys”, and social media can produce all the usual excuses. None of that means the rest of us have to rewrite reality. Driving a car at high speed the wrong way down a motorway, knowing innocent people could be coming towards you at 120 km/h, isn't normal driving and it isn't some innocent mistake. It is an extraordinarily reckless decision that could have killed an entirely innocent family. Does that mean I think they deserved to die? No. Do I take pleasure in their deaths? No. But I'm also not going to pretend that people repeatedly involved in serious criminality are “little angels” simply because they're dead. If the newspaper reports about their previous activities and encounters with Gardaí are accurate, they were far from angels. They were thugs whose behaviour should have resulted in meaningful intervention long before things reached this point. And yes, I'll use another unfashionable expression: Live by the sword, die by the sword. Not because I'm celebrating anybody's death, but because repeatedly choosing extreme risk, violence and criminality eventually has consequences. Tragically, sometimes those consequences are irreversible. Maybe I'm getting old. Maybe I'm becoming intolerant. But when I was growing up, there were consequences for our actions. Thankfully my parents never hit me, but discipline existed. We got the rod in school I can still remember it drying beside the paraffin heater and the strap was used in secondary school, although I missed most of that. I'm not suggesting we start beating children again. But where exactly did we go from discipline and personal responsibility to being terrified of telling children NO? When did participation become more important than achievement? When did allowing children to run around shops and restaurants like little maniacs become enlightened parenting? When I was young, if you behaved like that, your parents dealt with you. You quickly learned that other people existed and that your behaviour affected them. Manners and respect are free commodities. When I hear children telling their own parents to “f*** off”, I wonder what they're going to be like as adults. If that's the respect they have for the people who brought them into the world, fed them, clothed them and cared for them, what respect are they going to have for a teacher, Garda, employer or complete stranger? Then we wonder why workplaces increasingly need chill-out spaces and “mental health days” because ordinary pressures become too much. In my day we respected our bosses, did the job we were employed to do and were happy to have a job. Yes, society has changed, and some of those changes were unquestionably for the better. But removing consequences wasn't one of them. And I'm going to use another expression that will undoubtedly upset people: Feral scumbags. Because when young people are repeatedly stealing cars, carrying knives or machetes, attacking people and terrorising neighbourhoods, I'm considerably more interested in protecting their victims than finding another fashionable euphemism for their behaviour. And yes, perhaps we need to discuss bringing back industrial schools. Before somebody deliberately misunderstands that sentence, I don't mean resurrecting the religious institutions, brutality or abuse associated with parts of that system. I mean the basic principle of removing persistent young offenders from the streets and putting them into secure residential institutions with discipline, education, vocational training and consequences. If you're 16 or 17 and repeatedly terrorising a community, perhaps knowing that you're facing several years in a secure institution followed by the adult criminal justice system if you continue offending after 18 might make you think twice. Because whatever we're doing now clearly isn't frightening some of these young offenders. Young lads can apparently parade knives and machetes on social media as though they're fashion accessories. Communities are terrorised. People accumulate conviction after conviction. And I have seen an example of the attitude I'm talking about with my own eyes. I had reason to attend court in Loughrea, Co. Galway, around this time last year. There were three young offenders in the dock, one of them flanked by two prison officers. I was sitting in the public gallery immediately behind the legal teams. When this individual spotted me, he apparently decided that making disparaging remarks about me would be great entertainment. He laughed. He jeered. It was all great craic. What struck me particularly was how relaxed the whole thing appeared. He was joking with the prison officers beside him and, from where I was sitting, they appeared to be laughing along with some of it. The judge lost patience with him on two occasions. It didn't appear to bother him in the slightest. I obviously cannot know what was going through his head, but the impression he gave me was that he believed he was untouchable. What stayed with me wasn't the insults themselves. I've heard considerably worse. It was the complete lack of respect for the court, the judge and everyone around him. When the court adjourned for lunch, I couldn't resist a little dig of my own: “Where are we going for lunch? I really fancy a steak. I wonder what the prisoners get?” That wiped away some of the laughter. His response was to start shouting abuse at me, including calling me a “f*ing f**t”. Charming. I walked away thinking that if somebody can stand in a courtroom, in front of a judge, flanked by prison officers, and still behave as though the entire proceedings are a joke, what exactly is supposed to deter him when he's back outside? I doubt that scene was unique to one courtroom in Galway. And everybody waits for the inevitable tragedy. Instead of just talking about it, I wanted to go through it and really break it down to figure out the exact reason for the difference in Jalen Duren's play between the regular season and the playoffs. *LONG BREAKDOWN COMING* First, lets list how much the difference was: Iso in RS: 82nd %ile Iso in PS: 21st %ile Post-ups in RS: 88th %ile Post-ups in PS: 59th %ile PPP on drives in RS: 1.18 ppp PPP on drives in PS: 0.80 Layups in RS: 79th %ile Layups in PS: 19th %ile It was a staggering drop off. Shocking to many of us who watched him all season. So, what happened? Well, #1 I think mentally he was letting his struggles get to him and he started to play out of control. Something that suggests this to me is this stat: He started to figure some things out himself in isolation over the last 2 games against the Cavs. He had six isolation possessions in the final two games against the Cavs; he scored on five of those possessions and drew a foul on the other. Game 6 he started to look confident and really made them pay out of isolation. I really think a ton of it was he got hit with a punch early against ORL and really struggled to handle the pressure and struggles after, and just kept stacking and stacking. So, him being in his own head is #1 for me. #2: His handle got exposed quite a bit. In the regular season, he only had a 4.2 TO% in isolation, which is incredible. In the playoffs, though, that spiked to 20 TO%. On drives in the RS, he had a TO% of 4%. In the PS, it jumped to 13.3%. The first clip below shows how the right-to-left cross he loved doing all season was really taken away from him. Too loose of a handle, and he often got his pocket picked trying this exact move over and over. I think having his go-to move taken from him shook him a bit and left him scrambling a bit in his head to find a counter. The second clip shows, imo, him starting to lose trust in his handle. He immediately turns his back to the defender, which is what you do when you're worried about losing the ball. But, even then, he loses control of the handle and it ends up in a turnover. If I'm the Pistons, I'm showing all his turnovers due to his handle and working with him on tightening his handle and also helping him get comfortable with a counter/second move so defenders don't just sit on the right-to-left cross. #3: I think he really struggled to adjust to the playoff whistle. In the regular season, he drew free throws on 21% of his isolations and 31% of his post-ups. In the PS, it dropped to 14% and 11%, respectively. There were many possessions where in the RS he would've got free throws, but did not in the PS and he was frustrated. In the third clip, you'll see how physical he was being played by Mobley (which we all want physicality in the game). But, in the RS, he probably is getting FTA's here. There are many examples of this where it felt like a lot of his value during the RS was being able to draw FTA's on his drives, and in the PS, refs just allowed more physicality, and he struggled to deal with it. #4: Ausar-Duren duo. I believe in this duo, and I do not think this was the main reason Duren struggled. However, I am not blind to the fact that there were obviously some possessions that hurt Duren. In the regular season, Duen actually got less efficient when Ausar wasn't on the floor. However, in the playoffs, Duren went from 51 TS% with Ausar on the floor (302 minutes) to 64 TS% with Ausar off the floor (121 minutes). In the 4th clip, you really see how the lack of spacing caused a tough shot from Duren. He gets a step on WCJ going right, and probably would prefer to then just use his strength to create spearation. However, he sees Suggs sitting in the right gap off of Ausar, which forces him to spin left. Once he spins left, Paolo is completely leaving Tobias open. This is one of the reasons I really think DET needs a spacing 4 because this should be an easy kickout from Duren to a shooter. He still should've made this pass to Tobias, but a legit shooting 4 I think would relocate to the corner and make an easier outlet/easier to see for Duren. But, he still coulda made the pass, tbf. Either way, you see how the lack of spacing from both Ausar and Tobias forced Duren into a really awkward drive where he was forced into an extremely tough shot. I think if the passing returned from Duren, some of these situations wouldn't happen. Hitting Ausar early as he cuts into the space would work, or hitting Tobias (who again shoulda be making himself more available) beyond the arc results in better offense. But, also, having better spacing probably allows Duren to just get to his original move once he beats WCJ off the dribble. and lastly #5: He really just didn't play well. I can't include any more clips (I'll put some in the immediate thread reply to display), but he really just didn't play well. Missed *a lot* of looks we're used to him making. His touch around the rim left him, looked like he really felt rushed in the paint. He was struggling to secure rebounds after dominating the glass all season (during the RS, he averaged 4.3 second chance points a game, in the PS it dropped to 2.3). During RS, he had a 22.0 DREB%, which dropped to 16.0% in the playoffs. So, I think a lot of factors played into why he struggled so much in the playoffs. My takeaway is I don't think these things are unfixable; actually, I think they're very fixable. Experience of dealing with what playoff physicality is I think is going to help moving forward. All young players have to adjust to that--I think Cade really learned that from NY series to this playoff run. Tightening his handle and just having a second move to go to is not something that should be considered impossible. I'd like to believe it's pretty likely with how much he works and the raw skill he already has with his handle. Pistons adding a legit spacer at the four I think solves a lot and will make Duren's life a lot easier. The most concerning part is mental. And we won't know an answer to that until the next playoffs. Did this experience help him on his journey towards becoming mentally strong and prepared enough to move forward? Did this run help him find a routine that helps him lock in mentally, as many players have said they had to discover? Or will the pressure from struggling last postseason get to him this upcoming postseason? Will he let mistakes get into his head, compound them, and start playing rashly? I don't think the second option will be the case, but no one will know until the next postseason. Honestly, I'm more concerned and critical of his defense in the playoffs (which at times was pretty good and at other times was an incredible struggle), but that would require its own thread. My ending thoughts: I still very much believe in Duren. This playoff run showed he has areas he must sharpen up and learn from, but at 22 that shouldn't be a shocker. He is incredibly talented and made a large jump during the RS. The PS posed challenges he didn't quite have answers to yet. But another run of experience, another offseason of training, and another year older should lead him down a good path. I am fully supportive of paying Duren and extending him. I am not at close to 50 million dollars. 35-40 million is where I think they'll settle on, and I'm fine with that. But, he's gotta learn from these playoffs! Every offseason he's gotten better, I don't have a reason to believe Jalen Duren won't learn and improve again this summer. He's only 22.

Shocking to many of us who watched him all season. So, what happened? Well, #1 I think mentally he was letting his struggles get to him and he started to play out of control. Something that suggests this to me is this stat: He started to figure some things out himself in isolation over the last 2 games against the Cavs. He had six isolation possessions in the final two games against the Cavs; he scored on five of those possessions and drew a foul on the other. Game 6 he started to look confident and really made them pay out of isolation. I really think a ton of it was he got hit with a punch early against ORL and really struggled to handle the pressure and struggles after, and just kept stacking and stacking. So, him being in his own head is #1 for me. #2: His handle got exposed quite a bit. In the regular season, he only had a 4.2 TO% in isolation, which is incredible. In the playoffs, though, that spiked to 20 TO%. On drives in the RS, he had a TO% of 4%. In the PS, it jumped to 13.3%. The first clip below shows how the right-to-left cross he loved doing all season was really taken away from him. Too loose of a handle, and he often got his pocket picked trying this exact move over and over. I think having his go-to move taken from him shook him a bit and left him scrambling a bit in his head to find a counter. The second clip shows, imo, him starting to lose trust in his handle. He immediately turns his back to the defender, which is what you do when you're worried about losing the ball. But, even then, he loses control of the handle and it ends up in a turnover. If I'm the Pistons, I'm showing all his turnovers due to his handle and working with him on tightening his handle and also helping him get comfortable with a counter/second move so defenders don't just sit on the right-to-left cross. #3: I think he really struggled to adjust to the playoff whistle. In the regular season, he drew free throws on 21% of his isolations and 31% of his post-ups. In the PS, it dropped to 14% and 11%, respectively. There were many possessions where in the RS he would've got free throws, but did not in the PS and he was frustrated. In the third clip, you'll see how physical he was being played by Mobley (which we all want physicality in the game). But, in the RS, he probably is getting FTA's here. There are many examples of this where it felt like a lot of his value during the RS was being able to draw FTA's on his drives, and in the PS, refs just allowed more physicality, and he struggled to deal with it. #4: Ausar-Duren duo. I believe in this duo, and I do not think this was the main reason Duren struggled. However, I am not blind to the fact that there were obviously some possessions that hurt Duren. In the regular season, Duen actually got less efficient when Ausar wasn't on the floor. However, in the playoffs, Duren went from 51 TS% with Ausar on the floor (302 minutes) to 64 TS% with Ausar off the floor (121 minutes). In the 4th clip, you really see how the lack of spacing caused a tough shot from Duren. He gets a step on WCJ going right, and probably would prefer to then just use his strength to create spearation. However, he sees Suggs sitting in the right gap off of Ausar, which forces him to spin left. Once he spins left, Paolo is completely leaving Tobias open. This is one of the reasons I really think DET needs a spacing 4 because this should be an easy kickout from Duren to a shooter. He still should've made this pass to Tobias, but a legit shooting 4 I think would relocate to the corner and make an easier outlet/easier to see for Duren. But, he still coulda made the pass, tbf. Either way, you see how the lack of spacing from both Ausar and Tobias forced Duren into a really awkward drive where he was forced into an extremely tough shot. I think if the passing returned from Duren, some of these situations wouldn't happen. Hitting Ausar early as he cuts into the space would work, or hitting Tobias (who again shoulda be making himself more available) beyond the arc results in better offense. But, also, having better spacing probably allows Duren to just get to his original move once he beats WCJ off the dribble. and lastly #5: He really just didn't play well. I can't include any more clips (I'll put some in the immediate thread reply to display), but he really just didn't play well. Missed *a lot* of looks we're used to him making. His touch around the rim left him, looked like he really felt rushed in the paint. He was struggling to secure rebounds after dominating the glass all season (during the RS, he averaged 4.3 second chance points a game, in the PS it dropped to 2.3). During RS, he had a 22.0 DREB%, which dropped to 16.0% in the playoffs. So, I think a lot of factors played into why he struggled so much in the playoffs. My takeaway is I don't think these things are unfixable; actually, I think they're very fixable. Experience of dealing with what playoff physicality is I think is going to help moving forward. All young players have to adjust to that--I think Cade really learned that from NY series to this playoff run. Tightening his handle and just having a second move to go to is not something that should be considered impossible. I'd like to believe it's pretty likely with how much he works and the raw skill he already has with his handle. Pistons adding a legit spacer at the four I think solves a lot and will make Duren's life a lot easier. The most concerning part is mental. And we won't know an answer to that until the next playoffs. Did this experience help him on his journey towards becoming mentally strong and prepared enough to move forward? Did this run help him find a routine that helps him lock in mentally, as many players have said they had to discover? Or will the pressure from struggling last postseason get to him this upcoming postseason? Will he let mistakes get into his head, compound them, and start playing rashly? I don't think the second option will be the case, but no one will know until the next postseason. Honestly, I'm more concerned and critical of his defense in the playoffs (which at times was pretty good and at other times was an incredible struggle), but that would require its own thread. My ending thoughts: I still very much believe in Duren. This playoff run showed he has areas he must sharpen up and learn from, but at 22 that shouldn't be a shocker. He is incredibly talented and made a large jump during the RS. The PS posed challenges he didn't quite have answers to yet. But another run of experience, another offseason of training, and another year older should lead him down a good path. I am fully supportive of paying Duren and extending him. I am not at close to 50 million dollars. 35-40 million is where I think they'll settle on, and I'm fine with that. But, he's gotta learn from these playoffs! Every offseason he's gotten better, I don't have a reason to believe Jalen Duren won't learn and improve again this summer. He's only 22.
