Everyone is being really nice about Jimmy Carter. Never forget that he declared Trump to be an "illegitimate president" during his first term. He's cut from the same cloth as the rest of the demoncrats and I refuse to sugarcoat it.

I'm with you. A horrible President who tried to sell us that oil was all tapped out back in the late 1970s & to get used to less of everything. Gave away the Panama Canal, bungled rescue attempts for the 440 hostages held by Iran & dispirited the country. Disastrous presidency & was treasonous calling President Trump illegitimate.

Jimmy Carter did have a nasty, vindictive, mean-spirited side mostly hidden from public consumption. And he was resentful of the adulation Nixon and Reagan received after leaving office. Rush had him pegged.

September 1977: U.S. and Panama sign treaties to return the Panama Canal back to Panama in 1999. Senate narrowly ratifies them in 1978. Jimmy Carter's 💩 accomplishments include the establishment of the Department of Education and the Department of Energy!! DOE destroyed the youth of America.
