Lemme guess : Steering wheel? 😂

They’re not missing shit it’s just a sub par Waymo that you simps are acting dumb over

Ok so just to be clear you still think Tesla will have to sell a version of the Cybercab with a steering wheel and pedals to keep the factory running due to regulatory barriers?

Yes.

Got you. My only sticking point with that view is that this vehicle has been built explicitly for all the constraints of a robotaxi network and the demands/requirements that imposes and it likely won’t align well with the demands/requirements of a personal daily driver. Definitely for a subset of customers but not the broad set of customers like a model Y does.

Uber will still have Uber eats if they were smart they would’ve invested heavily in Tesla when they saw what was happening

Cybercab disrupts the need for parking lots and street parking. Businesses can subsidize the transportation cost of their customers with a minimum purchase amount. Like validated parking but validated transportation instead

What may happen is that cars may not be able to be operated as robo taxis (to protect jobs) but can be bought, which ends up benefitting Tesla over Waymo. I don’t want this to happen, but it may!

Resistance costs accidents. We know this. It is the best argument.

Looks clean

what do you use to mount your camera in the Cybercab?

The US is fighting a bigger battle for innovation and modernisation with China which means the gov will negotiate w unions or steamroll them. Transportation modernisation is small potatoes in wider context so no, steering wheel will not happen. On top of that, Elon has been categorically clear on his statement. Repeatedly.

steering wheel?

I can tell you what YOU'RE missing about Cybercab..

What most miss: Cybercab isn’t a Model Y with FSD — purpose-built brake-by-wire, no OBC, rare-earth-free drive unit sized for fleet miles. That stack only beats Uber if first-pass reliability keeps utilization high. Downtime and field swaps erase the cost-per-mile.

Most takes miss the utilization math — empty seats are the real cost center. When does the fleet tip from demo rides to all-day density?

Cybercab won’t only disrupt ride share but also private vehicle ownership, city buses, short flights, and delivery services.

Cybercab probably costs tesla a little over $20000 a car and that should drop down to $18000 a car once they are ramped

Really surprised “Steering Wheel & Pedals guy keeps showing up in my feed 😂 I guess this is 2019 and it could have never come from a lab! The steering wheels… they came from the lab!

Great explainer and walk(drive)through the cybercab Farzad. Personally think alot of people need to see this. Still have my reservations on how this impacts drivers though. That one also need to be talked about.

@farzyness Two questions/things you can test: 1. Can you plug in a keyboard and type on web pages? If someone want to get office work done, this you be useful. 2. After you have closed the doors, can someone outside the car press the button and open the door? Can you lock it?

where is iranian english accent?! haha
