I’ve had my real ID for multiple years now, it’s fine….not that big of a deal people! Jeez it’s just a star in the corner. It improves security measures to prove that it’s a real DL or ID card. So harder to forge or fake.

People this REAL ID was passed by Congress in 2005 because of 9-11. You have had 20 years to get this! It's not NEW... Oh and while we are on the subject all you need is your birth certificate and marriage license if your a female. Stop being sheep!

Do you know what makes me laugh so I had my gold star or whatever it was 2 1/2 years ago when I went into the registry because my license was expiring in they gave me a new one I guess now it’s called the real ID because I do have a gold star up, but let me see Nothing’s happening to me. I’m still here. I haven’t disappeared into any concentration camps

When I got my DL in the early 90s, I had to use my BC to get it. So why do I have to do it again, is just my question. I had to have it to join the military, again, why do I have to go through the process again. That's my questions.

That's fucking wild to think that showing a certified copy of your marriage certificate/court order for name change is somehow commented to the mark of the beast. Let me help some of you out President Bush enacted Real ID Act in 2005 after 9/11, in in 2012 (Obama was President) states began to comply, 2014 (Obama was President) and then it was handed off to President Trump,2014 to 2018, enforcement based on the issuing state or territory began. Georgia has real id, when you go get your drivers license and it has a gold or a black star on it, that my friends is a real id. Nothing more Nothing less.

I could be wrong, correct me if I am Ant - but REAL ID has been around for a few years. Especially in Illinois. It cost me $35 to get one and required two or three forms of residency. Is it annoying? Absolutely. Is it something to PMS over? No.
