Who spoke up for Iran? As expected, China joined Russia at the UN Security Council meeting to criticize the United States for its strikes on Iran. China said that US has damaged its credibility with strikes on Iran. Obviously, China monitors the situation very closely. It is of utmost importance to China to keep Iran as an ally (Iran supplies oil and gas to China, a lot of Chinese goods are exported to Iran etc. As an Iranian official once said, the two countries "mutually complement each other.
