All veterans who qualify for VA Healthcare should be given TRICARE and allowed to see private doctors in the community. The only thing the Department of Veteran Affairs should do is determine ratings and cut pension checks

It's a very common story. Trump had previously ordered the VA to complete disability claims within 90 days. He should reinstate that order but make them do their job in a few weeks. There are plans to expand community care, but the waits and hoops are still absurd.

, this is just one case. Some have waited well over a year just for their claim to be reviewed for it to ... And as @codeofvets/@MAGAgpsmith/@CLWAL02 are well aware, some people are waiting even longer for VA/VBA to act. Last figure I heard was 4-7 years for some things?? What? Is the VA just hoping these vets will croak so that they don't have to spend their resources treating them?

The VA has it's problems. As an employee, I will say that we are grossly understaffed at the clinical level. We need more health care workers, not more chiefs. There is a hiring freeze right now. The VA is sending vets OUTSIDE the VA system to be seen.

The US Healthcare System is a scam This American needed a refill on his prescription, so he made an appointment He went to the appointment, paid his $25 copay and was told the medication couldn’t be renewed because it’s been over a year since it was written He says okay no problem, I’m here now, let’s renew it with a new prescription They say they can’t do that the doctor isn’t there to write it. He would have to come back tomorrow That doesn’t make any sense because they had him make the appointment, pay the $25 copay and now they’re telling him to come back again for the same thing, and pay the copay again The doctors office confirms they will have to bill for 2 appointments for the same thing This is a scam This is SO COMMON in America. In 2025, you were told by MN Republicans that a “major victory” was secured in the state budget by “removing illegal immigrants” from taxpayer funded healthcare. That was a lie. Illegal immigrants residing in MN who claim asylum status (nearly all) are eligible. This year, $86 million will be spent on MinnesotaCare. Next year, $159 Million. That absurd increase in spending is your tax dollars providing free healthcare for illegals.
