If you hate KAT, I suggest you reconsider... "I feel like other than losing a child there's nothing worse you could go through and it builds you up and it strengthens you beyond measure. That's why I got Philippians 4:13 and the date tattooed on my neck. I could do all things through Christ who strengthens me but I was strengthened on April 13 when I lost my mother. That's been my favorite Bible verse my whole entire life since I was little. I didn't know the significance it would have in my life when I became an adult. But what I do know is that I truly can do anything when I walk in faith, when I walk with the angels beside me. I feel anything's possible, I feel nothing's impossible... I'm just grateful to be in this position because I know a lot of friends in mind that are not here to see this moment. I know a lot of people I love tremendously that aren't here to give me that hug or to give me that text message. I'm doing this for them. I do this for them, I do it for my mother's country, I do it for everybody in Dominican Republic, I do it for everyone in the city that welcomed my mother when she immigrated over. I do it for all my family in New Jersey that allowed me to be raised and allowed me to love this game of basketball and allowed me to be a kid with my mother and enjoy those times. The joy and competitive nature that they displayed, I wanted to be a part of that. And I say it all the time, going through rehab and being injured is lonely. It's not intentional. I couldn't practice for a while, I couldn't be in the game. When they were on the court, I was in the weight room, having to do my own thing. So you feel isolated, in a sense. “But I just expressed that being around as much as possible, going to games, being on the plane, really made me feel like I was still very much a part of the team, and how thankful to the group for just being themselves. I was thankful to the coaches that extended their days a lot by helping me during rehab and on the court and pick-up games [for] my conditioning. So I really just kind of telling everybody in the room that they all played a part in essentially helping me get to this moment.”

For people coming at me about this I was diagnosed with epilepsy at 19 same year Lehner came to our team. His free story in Athletic helped me to apply his strength to my own life and he became an idol to me as I was in high stress nursing school having full blown seizures in front of classmates. I was scared, upset and embarrassed. I said in my hospital bed “how can I be a nurse if I can’t even help myself?” I cried. It was a rough time. I found his story and reread it that season. He was standing on an NHL stage with his mental battle. It was inspiring to me. Cheesy, but if he could that, I could be strong too. I also really jumped into something that helped me release stress. Talking about hockey, podcasting, radio and going to games. And I was a big Lehner fan. He thanked me for getting his jersey that I received from my grandma as they drove me to my neurologist appointment. (I couldn’t drive as that was taken from me as a new epileptic) When my grandmother passed, who was my best friend, Lehner sent me condolences. It was an uphill climb but I haven’t a seizure in years due to medication and still follow this sport which I love. Lehner was a big idol in one of the roughest parts of my life. I now spread epilepsy awareness and even wrote a paper for work for November epilepsy awareness month for the nurses on proper care for epileptic patients. He taught me to speak up and spread awareness rather than feel shame. This video is me having a seizure streaming hockey. I’m not ashamed of it. Let others see what a seizure looks like. (I do not remember talking when the seizure happened)

Why am I not even surprised by this, I’m afraid if more and teachers have this epiphany then we won’t have any left to teach our kids. This woman used to be a teacher with a master’s degree. I can’t imagine devoting that much time and money to a profession only to find out I could make more just working a normal job. I think more and more that higher education is possibly turning into a scam. Growing up I was always told to focus on school, get an education and I will soar. Not too long after that I found out that wasn’t the case. I don’t even use my degree at all, I got it because I was told by my parents I had to. I worked two jobs while in school so I could graduate without debt, only to put it on the wall and forget about it. I later on went the family business route anyways as I always planned on doing. I feel I was pressured and sold a pipe dream that a degree would be the answer to anything financial for me, that it would unlock possibilities. For me, it closed many doors, many employers saw me as being overqualified. The turning point for me was when I used to go to a hotel with co-workers after work and I got to know my server. Turned out he had a degree in a similar field to mine and he was waiting on tables and in massive student debt because of it. I can tell the college dream turned into a nightmare for him. To spend thousands and not be able to use it to recoup my money would make me feel like the biggest fool around. I felt like if anyone came by to sell me magic beans, I would have a beanstalk in my yard. While not using my degree worked for me, there are so many more others that can’t say the same.

We had some good times with Blockbuster didn’t we? Oh the memories of going in on a Saturday night to pick a movie with my brothers. I remember my mom wanted a movie so bad and it was all “sold out.” As my brothers and I went to leave the cashier was like “wait that movie just came in.” I was like 16 years old and that joy still sticks with me to this day. I wish I could remember what movie though.😂 You had to be there to understand. ❤️

I really, really, really wanted to drop this song last year. When I first put out the snippet, I was so excited - but it was hard to finish it on time because everything was a blur. I was sick and weak and nauseous and tired and my body just wouldn't do what I wanted it to. Even in the snippet video, I wasn't feeling great. I was just trying my best. I adore Chike's voice and I knew it was him that had to be on the song with me. When I asked him to give me a verse, he was so ready to go, but he was out of town. As soon as he came back, he came over to my studio the next day 🥹. I got a lotta respect for him. He didn't know I was pregnant and suffering 😅 Watching this video back now, I can't even understand where the energy came from. When the song was done, I struggled to mix it. Even so, I decided to master it myself. I hate mastering, so I don't know what I thinking. I was so disappointed that I couldn't meet the deadline. Everyone had fallen in love with the song and was asking me to put it out. I didn't have the energy to make content. I don't even remember them recording this video. Given how much I love this song, I'm a little bummed I couldn't give it energy it deserves. But please, know that a lot of love and resilience went into this song. I hope that you can let less be more for this one. I hope you can give it the energy that I couldn't. That I can't. Nobody can ever say I was handed anything in my life! People are calling me the Cinderella of professional wrestling, but here’s the truth. Here’s parts of my Cinderella story…. I didnt grow up in a family of wrestlers. My family did not understand wrestling and called it trash. I myself was called trash when I became a wrestler. So if I was going to make this happen, I have to do this alone. With that being said Wrestling schools are expensive. So I took whatever job I could find which happened to be night shift positions at Wal-mart. I was in LA so I could go to KNOKX PRO ENT. under life There I slept out of my vehicle in the day time without air conditioning! everyday for a full year. Just so I could train, just so I could become a wrestler!! Training was so important to me. I didn’t want to be a Mountain Dew drinking Mark in tights? I wanted to be a professional athlete a professional actor, entertainer, a professional wrestler! But this is God’s plan not mine. During one of my matches I end up suffering an accident that put me in a wheelchair. I had to leave California and all my dreams were put on a shelf just so I could heal. I mean, wrestlers get hurt it happens. It’s all about how you get back up and what you do with yourself. Right? Well seven years passed 15 different doctors were seen, four surgeries were performed and not a single soul knew how to save my life. I was frustrated. I was losing my 20s. My whole entire life was slipping away and I was just existing in a wheelchair in agonizing pain. I had no relief. No hope! The pain had spread from my original injury to full body!! doctors didn’t know what to do. They didn’t understand my pain nor could they explain to me what was happening! I was terrified. If a doctor can’t save me, then who could?! It was a dark time, The only thing that kept me alive during my wheelchair days was the idea of fulfilling my wrestling career. I know it sounds cliché but wrestling as much as it killed me wrestling has saved me. With the medical community abandoning me I brought it upon myself to go to a planet fitness every single day and relearn how to walk again! That’s right! I didn’t have nurses holding my arms up as I taught myself how to walk again! I didn’t have a rehab facility. I didn’t have pain pills. I was raw dogging this as I was forced to do my rehab in a public f’n gym?! Well after a year of hard work, I was in a planet fitness every single day for 10 hours, forcing my body to walk, willing it to stand for long periods of time and I did it!! I fought through this mysterious pain, relearn how to stand and walk, & I also lost over 100lbs! After these accomplishments I went to one last doctor to tell them my story. My final doctor after all of this hard work. She reviewed everything & gave me the bad news. My body was not battling a little wrestling injury. It actually activated a rare disease! It’s not just any diseases, but it’s the most painful pain known to mankind! My dr with tears in her eyes asked me how I survived this long?! & that I was so brave! She was shock I haven’t touched any pain pills nor any other treatments. It was just me, and my will to survive! She then told me that I’m a medical one in 1 million! “You’re very much lucky to still be here with us kid! This sickness is nicknamed the suicide disease! Also I’m so sorry, but there is no cure!” I have filmed my journey from the beginning. Being homeless, helping bleach out the mats, scrubbing toilets, going days without food. I did it all to become a professional wrestler. Just to be rob of my career! and then to be giving this horrible sickness for the rest of my life? With all of my suffering, going years undiagnosed, fighting back, and now getting my body to a point that it can take a bump in a ring?! For the past year I have spread awareness to my rare disease! Not only this but I have sparked hope in others that are sick! I’m the first of my kind, but I won’t be the last!

Nobody can ever say I was handed anything in my life! People are calling me the Cinderella of professional wrestling, but here’s the truth. Here’s parts of my Cinderella story…. I didnt grow up in a family of wrestlers. My family did not understand wrestling and called it trash. I myself was called trash when I became a wrestler. So if I was going to make this happen, I have to do this alone. With that being said Wrestling schools are expensive. So I took whatever job I could find which happened to be night shift positions at Wal-mart. I was in LA so I could go to KNOKX PRO ENT. under life There I slept out of my vehicle in the day time without air conditioning! everyday for a full year. Just so I could train, just so I could become a wrestler!! Training was so important to me. I didn’t want to be a Mountain Dew drinking Mark in tights? I wanted to be a professional athlete a professional actor, entertainer, a professional wrestler! But this is God’s plan not mine. During one of my matches I end up suffering an accident that put me in a wheelchair. I had to leave California and all my dreams were put on a shelf just so I could heal. I mean, wrestlers get hurt it happens. It’s all about how you get back up and what you do with yourself. Right? Well seven years passed 15 different doctors were seen, four surgeries were performed and not a single soul knew how to save my life. I was frustrated. I was losing my 20s. My whole entire life was slipping away and I was just existing in a wheelchair in agonizing pain. I had no relief. No hope! The pain had spread from my original injury to full body!! doctors didn’t know what to do. They didn’t understand my pain nor could they explain to me what was happening! I was terrified. If a doctor can’t save me, then who could?! It was a dark time, The only thing that kept me alive during my wheelchair days was the idea of fulfilling my wrestling career. I know it sounds cliché but wrestling as much as it killed me wrestling has saved me. With the medical community abandoning me I brought it upon myself to go to a planet fitness every single day and relearn how to walk again! That’s right! I didn’t have nurses holding my arms up as I taught myself how to walk again! I didn’t have a rehab facility. I didn’t have pain pills. I was raw dogging this as I was forced to do my rehab in a public f’n gym?! Well after a year of hard work, I was in a planet fitness every single day for 10 hours, forcing my body to walk, willing it to stand for long periods of time and I did it!! I fought through this mysterious pain, relearn how to stand and walk, & I also lost over 100lbs! After these accomplishments I went to one last doctor to tell them my story. My final doctor after all of this hard work. She reviewed everything & gave me the bad news. My body was not battling a little wrestling injury. It actually activated a rare disease! It’s not just any diseases, but it’s the most painful pain known to mankind! My dr with tears in her eyes asked me how I survived this long?! & that I was so brave! She was shock I haven’t touched any pain pills nor any other treatments. It was just me, and my will to survive! She then told me that I’m a medical one in 1 million! “You’re very much lucky to still be here with us kid! This sickness is nicknamed the suicide disease! Also I’m so sorry, but there is no cure!” I have filmed my journey from the beginning. Being homeless, helping bleach out the mats, scrubbing toilets, going days without food. I did it all to become a professional wrestler. Just to be rob of my career! and then to be giving this horrible sickness for the rest of my life? With all of my suffering, going years undiagnosed, fighting back, and now getting my body to a point that it can take a bump in a ring?! For the past year I have spread awareness to my rare disease! Not only this but I have sparked hope in others that are sick! I’m the first of my kind, but I won’t be the last!

I’m trying to compute the last couple days and honestly I’m absolutely fucking shattered. You have been my North Star for everything for as long as I can remember from when I was misunderstood as a child to the way people thought I was just a little “too much” or “strange” in my life and career. I owe so much to you, your wife and your family - you all gave me a road to run down and supported me when people would turn their nose up. You loved life so much and you adored music. It was your smile man. You taught me it was beautiful to be out of the box. I promise you with all my heart I will try my best and make it my life’s journey to keep the sprit that you started and what you have taught me alive. I will give it my best shot.
