It's become a cruel joke. The default rule should be that the party who paid for the property retains it upon divorce. Absent clear and convincing evidence, child custody sould be presumed 50-50. Except in the most extreme circumstances, no child support should be paid by one spouse to the other. No alimony ever.

I'll offer a tip: Do not hire a male lawyer as a man, they expect you to show up with a "men's only" lawyer, doing so sets you up for failure. find a female- preferably one that's friend with the judge, has won cases, and donated to the judges campaign. It's easy to look up.

Glad to see someone else talking about this. In Michigan it is very bad also. Family Law is a criminal enterprise. GAL, Lawyers and judges are all friends, all women. Mostly divorced women. They make up facts, laws, interview children in chambers and do not tell the truth about what they have said. You can fight for years and get no results. They bankrupt you, take everything then demand you to pay money and do not even care how you get it or where it comes from. Your income does not matter. The women can appear on zoom hearings in court demanding money while on vacation sitting on the zoom by the pool in Florida, while the man is working and has medicaid and food stamps. The women referee demands to know how much the man will pay. The children see it and hate the system, hate their mother and no one cares or does anything.

This is a very real thing. Couple this with incentives to avoid marriage to get women on the dole train, that began to ravage the very notion of family in the 1970's, and alot of societies ills are explained.

True , women should not be raising young men, they have nothing to offer them . Family Courts are weaponized. I had this battle ,fortunately once my children seen the shit bag their mom was, I won . Way to many years lost because of shitbag judges and my bad judgement of woman .

Men, only offer term marriage agreements initially. eg: First 3 yrs are probationary, man has option to extend based on spousal performance. Wife waives the right to ALL litigation, children, financial support unless ratified. Wives must be trained, before rights gained.

I’m currently going through this in Virginia. The courts get a kick back based on the child support award. Family court in Va is very bad.
