Everyone’s been asking what’s next after selling Cal AI. Introducing Persona. Others couldn’t figure out the interface, we did.

Many people have been asking me why I’m launching a new company just a few months after leaving my old one. Here is my response: I took about a month off from anything entrepreneurial after my journey with Cal AI. I spent time with friends, played video games, started learning how to make music, and got a girlfriend. But I could not get rid of the itch. My mind was constantly racing with ideas and things I could improve in this world. I was envious of my friends who had the privilege to deal in uncertain business territory. There have been two things that have given me the most joy in life. 1) Watching others use something that I created 2) Overcoming all odds with a team I enjoy working with The only place you get this is entrepreneurship. Ultimately I couldn’t bear to stay away any longer, I needed to get back in the arena.

You may be onto something. But now you’re launching two businesses: AI chatbot service and a hardware band. I doubt people want to lock themselves into one chatbot or assistant. And that’s exactly what they’re doing when they spend money on this band.
