In 2023, I took ciprofloxacin, a common antibiotic, and ended up in the ER. I couldn’t walk. Couldn’t carry our stroller. Couldn’t take out the trash. Dozens of doctors told me the same thing: “There’s no clear fix.” “Take gabapentin.” “Learn to manage it.”

Gabapentin? A drug that causes cognitive fog, depression, and emotional numbness? Medicine is what got me here. Why would I take more?

So I did what most people don’t have time to do. I sat on the couch in pain and researched everything. Reddit threads. TikToks. YouTube. Forum posts. Blogs. I fed it all into LLMs. Built spreadsheets. Looked for patterns. What worked. What didn’t.

And in all that chaos, I got better. (That's me healthy, 1 year later, right before a Taylor Swift concert!) That’s when it hit me. The answers are already out there. But no one’s organizing them. No one’s helping us find what actually works.
