everything about this film is just beyond but this sequence in particular takes my breath away every time

The scarf is like a third dancer. Such precision with the way it moves, changes direction, wraps around the dancers. Amazing work not only by Gene and Cyd, but also by the wind machine operators and crew.

This being in the same movie as Moses supposes is a testament to cinema

Is it beautiful? Yes. It is absolutely weird as fuck in the middle of this movie? Also yes. It’s like you accidentally took LSD for 8 minutes and then returned to regular programming.

What's the name of the movie? WOW!

Cyd Charisse had *the* most gorgeous lines. Muscular, not bulky. Slim and strong and sinuous all at once. She acted through dance and every move was part of the story. She really was extraordinary.

This is my favorite sequence; he really shines when he can dance with another dancer on his level.
