…and the media is 100% complicit. Look at what they have done to this country in the last 24 hours. Some idiot saying something to a comparitively small audience (if you compare to Rod Stewart) that would have been forgotten in a day, suddenly splitting the country apart.

That's not what most people are saying. They want parity and therefore Lucy Connolly to be freed. They're pointing out the obvious two tier system which is still in effect.

She should be freed, but sadly that isn't what most people are calling for. They're calling for others to be given the same treatment as her, to balance the books.
