One of the Most Powerful Illustration of the Divine Trinity:🔥 The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are equal in everything…except for their hypostatic properties. The Father is Almighty. The Son is Almighty. The Holy Spirit is Almighty. All three are Almighty. The Father is the Creator. The Son is the Creator. The Holy Spirit is the Creator. Yet the three are one Creator. The Father is eternal. The Son is eternal. The Holy Spirit is eternal. All three are eternal. These shared qualities are called the divine attributes of the one divine essence. This is what is meant by equality within the Godhead. The Father alone is the Source. The Son alone is begotten. The Holy Spirit alone proceeds….that is why He is called the Spirit. These three hypostatic attributes distinguish the Father from the Son and from the Holy Spirit but not in their essence for their essence is one. What expresses the quality of the essence are the essential attributes such as the Creator, the Almighty, the One without beginning or end, the merciful Judge…..these are the attributes of God. However, the hypostatic attributes belong uniquely to each Person. Only the Father is the Source that is why He is called Father. If you say the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son….then the Son also becomes a source and now u have two gods. The Holy Spirit proceeded from the Father alone. This is why we must declare with absolute clarity: There is one Holy Father, one Holy Son and one Holy Spirit. Only one Father. In Genesis 1:26 God wasn’t speaking to Himself, He was speaking in the fullness of His divine power to the Son and the Holy Spirit. This reflects the Trinitarian nature of God. Here Wes Huff is speaking to Russell Brand on Brand’s show suggesting God is speaking to Himself. John Gill says of Genesis 1:26 “but they are spoken by God the Father to the Son and Holy Ghost, who were each of them concerned in the creation of all things, and particularly of man: hence we read of divine Creators and Makers in the plural number, Job 35:10”
