The song was later covered by the British rock band Led Zeppelin for their 4th studio album, known as Led Zeppelin IV. The band brought a fresh air to the song with their approach, Bonham's drums, Page's heavy-driven electric boxes, John Paul Jones' unique bass lines, and Plant's unmatched vocals. It quickly became a fan favourite song. Then, in 1994, as you may know, Led Zeppelin was already a broke-up band, and Jimmy Page and Robert Plant released their live album "No Quarter Unledded". Noel, guitarist and the one writing the majority of the material may’ve been a bit of a prick in his own right, but his brother and lead singer Liam was all over the news and paparazzi every weekend. Another drunken bar fight, another ex girlfriend, another cheap shot at his own bandmates—the headlines never ended. Then came the infamous MTV Unplugged performance, which was a big deal back then. Liam said his throat hurt too much to sing, and sat in the crowd smoking and drinking while he heckled his brother and the rest of Oasis trying to get on without him. About a decade later, Oasis broke up “forever.” Noel went on to work with some of the industry’s best known professionals, touring with his new band, and playing with the likes of Johnny Marr, a hero of his. It was May the 16th, 1978, just before 3 days from the release of Dire Straits' epic single 'Sultans of Swing' which is in their self-titled album. The band took the stage live at The Old Grey Whistle Test and performed that legendary, invaluable, and amazing song, Sultans of Swing. This footage is one of the earliest footage of the band and it is beyond perfection since there was no release back in that time from Dire Straits. The band's sound, playing, and whole live performance is just obviously amazing and it also sounds as great as the album version.
