Ravenskov is Swedish and this is the research: Note the expert commentary also: Our search for falsifications of the cholesterol hypothesis confirms that it is unable to satisfy any of the Bradford Hill criteria for causality and that the conclusions of the authors of the three reviews are based on misleading statistics, exclusion of unsuccessful trials and by ignoring numerous contradictory observations.

I'll bet there is a correlation to statins and Demetia and Alzheimer's.

Cholesterol in itself has never been the issue...but cholesterol depositing in the blood vessels which in turn makes it hard for blood to flow properly is the issue....this is due to the lack of anti-oxidants to reduce oxidation of the cholesterol in the blood

@Treed111Tim This is comforting, since I have high cholesterol. I do not take statins though. I'm 72 and smoke two packs a day. Something is gonna kill me at some point.

They blame animal fat for the damage that is done by sugar and grains,... AKA: livestock feed. The people who run the world know that the planet can't sustain 8 billion people who are all eating a proper diet, so they convince most people that a slave's diet is a "healthy" diet.

I don't know how accurate this is but I did hear once an extreme lack of cholesterol may lead to dementia.
