Quarter cow sticker shock fades once the freezer’s full and you’re not buying mystery meat every week. After that, the math becomes how much freezer space do you have/need.

I've been doing a 1/2 and mostly carnivore. It's so nice only going to the grocery store only once in awhile for just cheese and milk and a few other things.

that’s how you support local farmers

You know, that is just to much for us. We did get a 1/8 cow a couple of times. The worst thing? We liked the minced meat best 😅

I know 1/4 cow is way more than that in WA state

What farm charges that price???

It's wrapped in plastic !

You just reminded me to clean out my freezer for a whole cow coming. was that 1/4 cow the only thing in your freezer?? Do I have to get another? Eek

Good deal!

Haven't had a decent steak n years. Prime rib 4get about it(

It is totally worth buying a locally sourced 1/4 cow. We buy one annually.

Its totally not worth it. Half a cow is $1500 after hanging meat and all that. You're essentially paying $8-9 a pound for ground beef. I've done this before, it isn't worth the squeeze. do it to support your local rancher and butcher.

It's so hard to eat healthy!!!! Because it requires a tiny bit more than going to the closest poison junction supermarket

You're looking good and healthy!

It is a great idea! Growing up my mom bought 1/2 a cow every fall. But we didn’t get the half with steaks 🤣.

My 1/4 cost me $1300 this year in AZ 🥵

That's a great deal, too! It's nice to see other people who get it.
