Alyn just wore tights. He only had shoulder padding in his suit unlike George Reeves, Routh, and Cavil. But, he did wear a "diaper" as they called it. It was padding under his red undies. Because they were afraid of showing his real crotch... A large bulge was "obscene".

Missed a LOT of them. Tyler Hoechlin, Tom Welling, and Dean Cain were all great iterations of Superman.

Reeve is the definitive Superman indeed! Dc's Who's Who Omnibus Vol 1: Superman

Reeve was NOT the definitive Superman. Tyler Hoechlin is. Reeve was tolerable in the first two movies, but by the third and fourth, he succumbed to the camp acting and writing of those around him. He was in drag as Superman at the end.
