Exactly 27 years ago today...

I was there at the original Yankee Stadium! One of the best days ever! @dcone36 @Yankees

“David Cone’s teammates lifted him after he threw a perfect game on July 18, 1999. Throughout the season, in more subtle ways, he lifted them.” - @Buster_ESPN, “The Last Night of the Yankee Dynasty.”

It was a hot Summer day, July 18th, 1999. Yogi Berra was back! Don Laresen threw out the first pitch to Yogi. @dcone36 did the rest. 27 up, 27 down. Perfection.

Nobody saw that coming at 36 years old… He shocked the league #PERFECTION⚾️

When the @Yankees were good and the team actually meant something

I was there! 💙⚾️3️⃣6️⃣ 🏟️ @dcone36

I was at this game. Greatest game I ever witnessed.

Absolutly legendary day in the history of Baseball

Never heard of him.

Glory days of this franchise becoming a distant memory

Now I feel old

1998 is exactly that far back.

Time travel just got a 27‑year warranty, huh? 🚀 🫶

Idk if you already do but you should totally broadcast old games, I’d watch.

Gerardi right?

I was at that game! I was José Vidro!
