Exactly a year ago, my post warning about the potentially massive impacts of the Cowichan decision reached 1.4 million people. British Columbians were rightly concerned then. And under BC’s radical NDP government, they have every reason to be concerned today.

🚨We keep hearing claims that the Cowichan “don’t want” the affected Richmond PRIVATE PROPERTY. That misses the point entirely. The court has granted ABORIGINAL TITLE over the affected private property in RICHMOND. Whether the COWICHAN choose to exercise that right to that private property is irrelevant — the legal right now exists and may be accessed. This COWICHAN DECISION directly affects the families who own those affected private properties, and it should concern all British Columbians. With 95% of British Columbia exposed to Indigenous land claims, this ruling creates UNCERTAINTY that can be repeated in other communities across the province. The NDP government should have acted to protect PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS before this issue reached a court ruling.

I’m PRO-British Columbia, and I believe THE PEOPLE should have the final say on major changes to how their province is governed. 86% of British Columbians agree: major changes to how our province is governed should require the consent of THE PEOPLE. That should not be controversial. The NDP had no mandate to create conditions that put the certainty of private property rights into question or fundamentally change who makes decisions over B.C.’s land and resources without asking British Columbians first. That is exactly why B.C. has the Recall and Initiative Act. It gives British Columbians the power to take an issue directly to the people when government refuses to listen. I am using that democratic power to repeal DRIPA. No mandate. No public consent. And no government should get to fundamentally rewrite how this province is governed and simply tell British Columbians to accept it. British Columbia belongs to its PEOPLE. Government answers to its PEOPLE. And the PEOPLE have every right to decide its future.

Many of my constituents were thrown under the bus by the NDP decision not to argue extinguishment. David Eby is now in damage control mode, secretly sending a high-paid political staffer to engage with my constituents behind my back. The NDP secrecy and backroom deals must stop. Homeowners deserve respect, transparency and guaranteed property rights.

For the record I was the first person to post on this platform about Mamdani and his associates secret group chats. It’s well documented. Not one major outlet wanted to touch it. I have a list of people that I personally reached out to and I was ignored. I am very concerned about the 200 plus influencers receivers taxpayers money from Mamdani’s administration to push out radical policies and agenda on social media. More importantly I am concerned about the possibility that 200 plus influencers may have ties to terrorist groups. These are all valid concerns and I think the FBI should review the names. It’s also being alleged that some of the people getting paid from Mamdani’s administration might be people that we know. Release the list. cc: New York Post Julie Menin
