Man I still get goosebumps with that scene! Incredible film that holds up to this day!
What I loved is that Boorman intentionally cast Williamson and Mirren because they hated each other and he wanted to use that animosity in the movie.
I saw this at the theater with my father. First time laying eyes on Helen Mirren.
My favorite King Arthur adaptation.💯😎🤘🤘🤘😎😎💯💯😎🤘😎💯💯
Heard the director wanted to make Lord of the Rings. Had too many obstacles at the time so made this masterpiece instead.
hilarious too
Picard there up on the battlements clutching a woman
It's so beautifully shot and completely commits to the sincerity of a King Arthur story instead of trying to be ironic or witty.
100%
Keep it Uriens!
The ending of the movie sends chills up your spine.
This is it. My favorite scene in one of my all time favorite movies
One of the best movies I’ve ever seen… and an absolute staple on cable in the 80s… I must’ve seen it 30 times…
My favorite film of all time. 👍
Chills !
Fuck yeah!
Boorman had no idea the huge service he was doing for young DnD fanboys everywhere back then. The audacity, the pure magic of it all…
Agreed 👍

Growing up I loved that movie.
Norman was genuinely unsure he wanted to make this. The scars from Exorcist 2 had not yet healed.
You have no idea how much I enjoyed the King Arthur movies. But there’s one little detail in this scene: who can hold a sword that size with one hand, as if it were a butter knife? You’d need a massive wrist for that...
Would've watched it a dozen more times had it not been for creeepy boy Mordred. Great film.
Need to watch that again. Been a while. It’s a perfect movie.
Magnificent movie. I've seen it many times but not recently.
NO DOUBT
I've watched this movie a hundred times.
"un Rey sin espada!! Una tierra sin Rey!!"
