Excel Saga (1999)

This anime was my first encounter with Truck-kun.

I love her VA is the same person who does Sailor moon. The English VA when ADV did it injured her voice so they had to replace her.

I love Jessica Calvello's Excel voice in the dub, but this was not the best introduction to said voice in English.

I was today years old when I discovered Truck-kun is that old a trope, and it's glorious, haha 😆 (It's not like I haven't been an anime fan for a long time, but I didn't watch Excel Saga and I guess I just missed it, lol)

Funniest anime ever

I remember years ago watching a funsub of Excel Saga, before the age of SSA/ASS; The subs were burned into the video stream. They had the most awesome translators notes, explaining the context of all the Japanese in-jokes. None of the current softsubbed torrents I can find on places like Nyaa compare. And I've searched for this that hardsub release for years and never found it.
