After being named Gatorade Player of the Year in West Virginia, Young committed to Akron, where he’s already starting to make his mark as a freshman. In just under 20 minutes per game this season, Young is averaging 8.5 points per game on impressive shooting splits of 47.2% from the field, 42% from three, and 87.5% from the free-throw line. His efficiency is even more notable given his decent volume, as he attempts 3.6 shots from beyond the arc per game. Young’s skill set and production make him a player to monitor as a potential breakout candidate next season. Despite standing at 6’1”, he fits the mold of some of the premier undersized combo guards like Juni Mobley and Aden Holloway, combining sharp shooting, quick decision-making, and a fearless approach to the game. His ability to impact the offense in limited minutes suggests he could thrive in a larger role. When he’s on the floor, Young brings an electric energy that Akron could lean into even more as the season progresses. The recommendation was to take additional time off to fully heal. Brown is expected to be available either Saturday against Boston College or next week versus Virginia. .Mansfield Football WR Zion Robinson was one of the most dangerous players in North Texas during his HS career. Last year, Robinson racked up 42 catches for 527 yards and 8 TDs. This season, he's improved on those numbers despite constant double teams, ending the season with 45 catches for 806 yards and 9 TDs. Zion is also an excellent basketball player and track athlete. He is committed to Stanford Football and is our Parker University MVP.
