Exchange between U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell and @SecDef Hegseth. McConnell: "Who's the aggressor and who's the victim in the conflict? Hegseth: "Russia is the aggressor." McConnell: "Which side do you want to win?" Hegseth: "This president is committed to peace in that conflict..."

🚨@PeteHegseth just REFUSED to answer whether @POTUS wants Russia or Ukraine to win the war. Why? Because the answer is obvious — and it’s not Ukraine. If your “America First” policy helps Putin more than our allies, maybe you’re not putting America first at all. #Trump #Ukraine #Russia #Hegseth

@SenMcConnell @SecDef It’s so hard to determine who is a bigger piece of shit, McConnell or those that continued voting for him.

@SenMcConnell @SecDef so weak that Kegseth keeps flailing back to the previous admin as a sad excuse for his incompetence. He has no answers, has no plan and he is on the wrong side of history.

America is not a direct belligerent in this war. What is this ‘what side do you want to see win’? This is why America foreign policy has been schizophrenic for last 30 years. They think that we have to absolutely dominate every single outcome in every situation. That’s not how it is going to work in a multipolar world.

@SenMcConnell @SecDef Ukraine is not a ‘democratic’ ally ffs. They’ve never had a strong democracy in that country or part of the world. So what if Russia is authoritarian? So are we a lot of the times!

@SenMcConnell @SecDef It’s the kind of weak, mealy-mouthed answer that says everything by saying nothing. The refusal to state a clear position reflects the same brand of cowardice that has become standard—hedging, dodging, and prioritizing optics over accountability.

@SenMcConnell @SecDef For as much crap Pete gets, his understanding of America and our military in today’s multipolar world was a surprisingly sober analysis.
