Dr. Anthony Fauci funded gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, lied to Congress about it, and both the FBI and the Department of Energy have concluded that the coronavirus likely originated there. Now that Biden has pardoned Dr. Fauci, he should be hauled in front of Congress to testify under oath. Evidence strongly suggests that Fauci's funding supported research leading to the creation of SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for the COVID-19 pandemic. SARS-CoV-2 is unique among betacoronaviruses for having a furin cleavage site, a feature that enhances its ability to infect humans and spread rapidly. In 2018, Fauci-funded scientists proposed adding a furin cleavage site to a betacoronavirus at the Wuhan lab, which reportedly had inadequate biosafety standards. One year later, SARS-CoV-2 emerged in Wuhan with this exact feature. Unlike prior outbreaks such as SARS and MERS, where links between infected humans and animals were quickly established, no such evidence has surfaced for SARS-CoV-2 more than five years after it first appeared. Dr. Fauci has been a consistent advocate for gain-of-function research, funding high-risk experiments and facilitating technology transfers to questionable labs worldwide. After a 2014 pause on such research due to lab leaks in the U.S., Fauci continued these experiments abroad, including at the Wuhan lab. The evidence overwhelmingly suggests that Fauci's funding and actions played a critical role in the creation of SARS-CoV-2.

But it didn’t stop with abolition in 1833. According to a paper published in New Political Economy, the Global South has lost $152 trillion in wealth to the Global North since 1960 alone. Extracted, in part, by the same institutions. These are the very same entities that now dump sewage in our water, make profit from the care of our elderly and price gouge the public on everything from energy to food. Reparatory justice is a class issue. It affects all of us and rebuilding something better starts… with an apology.

#WATCH | They thought they could get away from us. They were wrong. Last night at around 11:30pm our officers spotted a group of males in the city centre, who were all wearing balaclavas and dark clothing, riding e-bikes and doing wheelies along the road. They all tried to evade us, but unlucky for them, we carried out an effective tactical response and caught them all quickly after. One rider was caught and arrested on Renshaw Street, which you can see in this video, and a second rider, and his passenger were arrested near Rodney Street. A knife was found at the scene and one of the males was in possession of £5,000. A subsequent search of a property linked to one of the suspects led to the discovery of an additional £3,000 in cash as well as cannabis. This work is all part of Operation Gears, which is our ongoing commitment to tackling dangerous, illegal and anti-social vehicle use across the region, making communities safer for residents, businesses and road users. We finally got the full core team together for the first time, met the PM of greece, launched our position paper and also our full legal amendments. Why? Because it's one [impossible] thing to get a law into a vote. Another [as impossible] thing making sure it survives in a useful state.
