Cantlay is an utter disgrace… there is absolutely no need to play golf that slow…I saw him at the Open a few years back… I went for a couple of pints …a fish supper and was back in time for his final waggle !

I really wonder if this doesn't go back to college golfers. I've watched a fair amount of match play college golf in the last 10 years, men and women, and man, so many of these golfers are glacially slow, I assume it's because college has no mechanism to punish slow play.

This-pace of play-is an underrated, not talked about enough issue in many sports. In tennis Federer was a much better watch than Djokovic or Nadal bcs he played serve ‘em up tennis. Baseball solved its slow play problems with pitch clocks. Golf needs to do better here
