Alert Pointsman Mr. Sourabh Kumar Singh (returning to office after attaching banker engine to the train) seen the incident and immediately shown Red signal to Train Manager. Train Manager instantly dropped the pressure and stopped train. Passanger was safely removed from track. Fortunately no major injuries to the passenger & he is safe. Passengers are requested not to board/deboard the running train.

The perpetrator was identified, and prosecutors demanded that he be arrested and held in pre-trial detention. A court refused to sanction an arrest warrant, arguing the attacker could not have known that the train door would have opened during the beating. This is despite the attacker already being a convicted offender who is only out on probation following a previous offense.
