Christa Pike should have been dead for over 24 hours. Instead she is costing the tennessee taxpayer a fortune to keep her alive so when she recovers they can attempt to execute her all over again. One day someone will make a movie about this crazily shambolic story.

Keeping her alive at this point is the cruel and unusual part ffs. Like if you had a pet that were suffering.. i mean.. do the right thing.

They should've just cut her head off or shoot her. But if she suffered, oh well.

If nothing else, this serves to underscore the fact that execution by lethal injection is just ridiculous. Bring back the gallows, bring back firing squads, or even bring back crucifixion. Just do away with these useless, ineffective methods that make living people feel better.
