Two men were killed in a double homicide on Chicago's Far Northwest Side on Thursday afternoon, June 25, 2026. The Irving Woods Shooting According to the Chicago Police Department reported by WGN-TV and the Chicago Tribune, the victims were discovered by officers at approximately 3:30 p.m. in the 7800 block of West Cahill Terrace in the city's Irving Woods/Dunning neighborhood. The Victims: A 20-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest, head, back, and right shoulder. A second male victim of an unknown age suffered gunshot wounds to his back, neck, and left leg. Medical Response: Both men were transported in critical condition to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where they were later pronounced dead. BREAKING: One man is dead and another is fighting for his life after a gunman opened fire outside a party at a city-owned facility in Santa Clarita. The gunfire erupted just before 11 p.m. outside The Centre, a rentable event venue located within the Santa Clarita Sports Complex. First responders found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were rushed to area trauma centers, with paramedics performing CPR on one of the men using a LUCAS mechanical chest compression device during transport. One of the victims was later pronounced dead at a hospital. The condition of the second victim has not been released. Investigators recovered dozens of shell casings near where the victims were found. The scene remained locked down for hours as detectives processed evidence and interviewed witnesses. Several partygoers were kept inside the building during the initial stages of the investigation. No suspect information has been released, and the shooting remains under investigation.

REPORT: Seven corpses have been found across three New England states, prompting rumors that there is a serial k*ller on the loose. Since March, seven decaying female bodies have been found near the coast in the states of Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Police claim there is no evidence at this time that the de*ths are connected, however, forensic scientist Peter Valentin says the crimes are making him "curious." (video below) The women were between the ages of 35 and 60. Paige Fannon, 35, was found deceased on March 6 in the Norwalk River. A human skull was found on the same day in the woods in Plymouth, Boston. Two weeks later remains of a female were found near a cemetery in Groton. Then, a couple of days later, missing mother Denise Leary, 59, was found deceased in New Haven. 56-year-old Michele Romano was later found deceased on March 26 in a wooded area in Foster.

People who live and work on Clinton Avenue told Eyewitness News they often hear music coming from a recording studio on the block, but on Wednesday night, the music was drowned out by the sound of gunshots. The recording studio, Platinum Sound, is on the ground level of an apartment building, and sandwiched between a hair salon and a supermarket. One man who was shot died at the scene. A second man who was shot was pronounced dead at the hospital. Two other male victims were wounded by gunfire, and were taken to the hospital in stable condition. The victims have not yet been identified.

Police say both sets of bones found before Saturday came from the same person.

🎥: Omaha Fire was called to 123rd and Gold Street for a house fire. Crews had heavy smoke on approach and a working fire was declared. Crews had the fire under control after 20 minutes. No serious injuries were reported. At least one cat was found deceased and crews were working on resuscitating a second cat. Medics checked on a passerby but the person was not transported from the scene and was reported to have minor injuries.

When they arrived on scene, they were able to rescue 8-9 people before first responders joined in the effort.
