❗️❗️❗️🇺🇦A detailed structural analysis of the July 12 overnight drone strike on the Syzran Oil Refinery in Russia's Samara Oblast confirms the most devastating blow to the facility since the start of the conflict, systematically crippling its entire technological chain. Operated by state-owned giant Rosneft, the Syzran facility is a cornerstone of the Middle Volga energy infrastructure, boasting an annual design capacity of approximately 8.9 million tons of crude oil. The refinery serves as the primary fuel lifeline for the Samara, Ulyanovsk, and Penza oblasts, alongside the Republics of Mordovia and Chuvashia, while funneling critical refined products to Russia's broader regional markets. While previously targeted by Ukrainian Defense Forces, the latest precision raid achieved unprecedented operational paralysis by simultaneously striking the refinery's entrance gates and its advanced deep-refining infrastructure. At the core of the destruction is the AVT-5 unit, one of the refinery's vital atmospheric-vacuum distillation installations responsible for the initial separation of crude oil into foundational fractions. Simultaneously, multiple kamikaze drones directly impacted the ELOU-AVT-6 unit, which handles crucial crude desalinization, dehydration, and primary distillation. By taking down both the AVT-5 and ELOU-AVT-6 units, Ukraine has effectively closed the "input gates" of the entire technological cycle, stripping the refinery of its ability to process raw crude oil. Beyond the primary processing hubs, the precision drone swarm successfully knocked out several highly specialized downstream installations: The Isomerization Unit (PGI-DIG/280), which synthesizes the high-octane components required to manufacture premium automotive gasoline. The Hydrotreating Unit, designed to purify fuel fractions by stripping out sulfur and corrosive impurities. The Catalytic Cracking Unit, a critical deep-refining installation essential for maximizing the output of high-grade gasoline and light petroleum products.

A very productive night: On the night of June 10, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck: ▪️ The "VNIIR-Progress" plant in Cheboksary, Chuvash Republic, Russia. The strike was carried out using Ukrainian FP-5 "Flamingo" missiles by the warriors of the Rocket Forces and Artillery of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. The distance from the nearest area of active combat engagement in Ukraine to the facility is over 900 km. The enterprise is one of the key manufacturers of navigation equipment for Russia's precision-guided weapons. The plant produces satellite navigation receivers and "Kometa"-type antennas, which are used in Shahed-type drones (Geran-2), "Kalibr" cruise missiles, "Iskander-M" operational-tactical missile systems, as well as unified gliding and correction modules for aerial bombs. ▪️ The "Kuibyshev" oil refinery in Samara, Russia. The strike on this facility was carried out by the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This refinery is one of the largest oil processing enterprises of Russia's Samara group. Its annual processing capacity is approximately 3.7 million tons of crude oil. The facility produces gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, and other petroleum products used to supply the military-industrial complex and Russian forces. ▪️ The Russian shadow fleet tanker WEST Horizon in the Black Sea. A hit to the vessel's propulsion and steering system has been confirmed. The WEST Horizon tanker is utilized in Russia's shadow fleet schemes to transport oil and petroleum products, bypassing international sanctions and restrictions. ▪️ In addition, follow-up reconnaissance of the arsenal of missiles, ammunition, and explosives struck on June 6, 2026, in the area of Bolshaya Izhora settlement, Leningrad region, Russia, has confirmed the destruction of 18 ground storage facilities and three open sites. Signs of secondary detonation of ammunition have been recorded. Glory!

💥 Unmanned Systems Forces strike strategic targets on enemy territory On the night of January 1, operators of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces (1st Separate UAS Center ), in coordination with the “Graf” USF unit, conducted a strike on the Ilsky Oil Refinery. This is one of the key refineries in southern Russia. Its capacity is approximately 6.6 million tons of crude oil per year. The facility specializes in producing fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, gasoil, and other petroleum products. Its importance for the Russian army lies in supplying fuel for military equipment, especially in the southern region and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. As a result of the strike, a large-scale fire was recorded on the refinery’s premises. The detailed effects of the strike are being clarified. 💥 In addition, in the city of Almetyevsk in Russia’s Republic of Tatarstan, operators of the 1st Separate Center of the USF struck the Northern Tank Farm. This is a major industrial complex owned by PJSC Tatneft, whose core functions include the collection, separation, and preparation of marketable crude oil, as well as its storage prior to shipment to consumers. As a result of the strike, a fire was recorded on the facility’s premises. The detailed effects of the strike are being clarified. The Unmanned Systems Forces continue to systematically reduce the enemy’s ability to sustain aggression against Ukraine. USF: One step ahead!

In recent weeks, Ukrainian drones have demonstrated the most effective 'sanctions' against the Russian oil industry, delivering dozens of successful strikes on major Russian refineries and energy infrastructure facilities in Russia's rear. Production halts, disruptions at enterprises, a fuel crisis, gasoline shortages, kilometer-long lines at gas stations, record-high price increases – these are all the results of the work of Ukrainian drones. In addition, destroying fuel reserves near the frontlines negatively affects the combat capability of the Russian army and the military-industrial complex as a whole. 🔷 Regular attacks on Russian refineries and oil depots started last year. The current campaign is focused on all plants in key regions of consumption and processing. Its effects are becoming increasingly tangible, in part due to sanctions and the lack of imported equipment needed to repair damaged facilities. 🔷 In August 2025 alone, the following were attacked: ◾️ 02.08 – Novokuibyshevsk oil refinery ◾️ 02.08 – Ryazan oil refinery ◾️ 03.08 – fuel depot at Sochi Airport (Krasnodar Krai) ◾️ 07.08 – Afipsky oil refinery (Krasnodar Krai) ◾️ 08.08 – Ertan oil depot near the Millerovo air base (Rostov region) ◾️ 10.08 – Saratov oil refinery ◾️ 12.08 – Unecha Transneft-Druzhba oil pumping station (Bryansk region) ◾️ 14.08 – Volgograd oil refinery ◾️ 18.08 – Nikolskoye-Transneft oil pumping station (Tambov region) ◾️ 20.08 – Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery (Rostov region) ◾️ 21.08 – Unecha Transneft-Druzhba oil pumping station ◾️ 22.08 – Albashneft oil refinery (Krasnodar Krai) ◾️ 24.08 – Syzran oil refinery (Samara region) ◾️ 24.08 – Oil export terminal in Ust-Luga (Leningrad region) ◾️ 28.08 – Kuibyshev oil refinery (Samara region) ◾️ 28.08 – Afipsky oil refinery ◾️ 30.08 – Krasnodar oil refinery ◾️ 30.08 – Syzran oil refinery 🔷 According to Reuters, by the end of August 2025, Ukraine's long-range strikes had disrupted at least 17% of Russia's refinery capacity. Experts predict that gasoline shortages caused by the ongoing attacks on refineries could lead to rising inflation and further macroeconomic instability in Russia. 🔷 To save the situation, the Kremlin is urgently: ◾️ seeking opportunities to purchase fuel from Belarus; ◾️ extending restrictions on gasoline exports; ◾️ introducing gasoline coupons; ◾️ revising its oil export plan to at least somehow sell the crude freed up after key refineries were brought out of operation (and this amid existing restrictions on Russia's shadow fleet and the threat of secondary sanctions for countries buying Russian energy resources); ◾️ using all available public platforms to get a so-called 'energy truce' from Kyiv. Economic pressure and targeted strikes deep inside Russia are a path to negotiations. 📹: RUSZKIK HAZA (Russians go home) project of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, results for August 2025.
