If what the whistleblower is saying is true, why didn't she hotline it or notify the police? Bedbugs, self-harming behaviors, potential medical neglect, emotional/verbal abuse, "house arrest" are serious issues for vulnerable persons. Aren't staff are mandated reporters?

So it’s possible the goal here is to fix Mainecare for Mainers and not simply kick people out of the system. That sounds like a great idea. Start with the pork barrel. Leave healthcare services intact. Want to see an eye doctor, a dentist, or mental health professional? Forget Mainecare. If these billing issues were corrected, Mainecare might be able to pay competitively for services and allow greater access to healthcare for low income families. It is not the families’ faults that the economy in Maine has been driven into the ground over the past many years. Less people would need Medicaid if we started fixing the economy. That solves the problem much better than taking away needed benefits.

After filming this video, we were able to get in touch with the owner (not through the listed phone number on the sign), who told us the business did not have a permit. He also told us they only have one client... But good news. They're hiring!
