Exclusive | “World Stood Up for a Monkey, and Forget US”: From Punch the Monkey to Thousands of Orphaned Children in Gaza: How the World Reacts As global sympathy poured in for a baby monkey abroad, thousands of orphaned children in Gaza continued to grieve in silence under the... weight of genocide. Among them is four-year-old Abood Mhjez, who has asked the same question every night since October 2024: “Where is my dad?” His father was killed in an Israeli strike after the family was forcibly displaced from their home in Sheikh Redwan, Gaza City. He had left to bring water and food and never returned; friends later found his body in the street. Now living in a tent, Abood waits for him to come home, asks to call him, and says he wants to go to Heaven to see him. His mother says trauma has consumed her son, he cannot sleep, forgets simple things, stares silently at walls, and breaks down when he sees other children with their fathers. Psychologists in Gaza describe unprecedented psychological destruction among children after two years of bombardment, starvation, displacement, and siege. According to Palestinian and UN figures, thousands of children have lost both parents and tens of thousands have lost one, in what officials call the largest orphan crisis in modern history. UNICEF estimates nearly all of Gaza’s 1.2 million children now require urgent mental health and psychosocial support, as an entire generation grows up marked by grief, fear, and loss.show more

This is what childhood looks like in Gaza… Rafif and all the children of Gaza have lost every right — care, education, and even their simple right to play in a safe and clean environment. Now, they have no choice but to play in the sand, surrounded by destruction and loss. Please, keep talking about the children of Gaza… Save what’s left of their childhood before it’s gone forever. 💔

⚡️JUST IN: The Israeli occupation gathers large numbers of children and women into a hole and surrounds them with gunfire before allowing them to flee from the northern Gaza Strip. According to a testimony from one of the women in Jabalia: “They took all the children from their mothers and put them in something resembling a pit or a hole. The tank came and circled around them several times until they were covered in dirt and sand, amidst the screams of children and the wailing of mothers. After that, the soldiers came and started throwing the children in the direction of the mothers. If a mother picked up a child, she had to carry them and move quickly without confirming that the child was indeed hers. Many of the mothers picked up children that weren't theirs, forced to leave with other women's children. Here, a new chapter of suffering begins, as a mother searches for her child in the hands of another woman, calming a child in her arms until she finds her own.”

“I just want at least one of my children to be alive” “I swear I dressed them up to get them out of here” Hussein Odeh, Palestine’s weightlifting champion, lived in northern Gaza. He left to get a vehicle to evacuate his family to Gaza City, but returned to find his home destroyed by an Israeli airstrike and his family buried under the rubble.

All these kids just lost their parents after an Israeli air strike on their house. They are originally from Gaza city, and they evacuated to the middle area to be safe, but last night at 2 am the house they were in was targeted. The boy in the last video was injured after an air strike on the school him and his family were sheltering in. He is in pain and he is asking for a bed. He doesn’t want to be on the floor. He just wants to sleep. The hospital is extremely overwhelmed.

John Cena’s family reportedly tried to convince him and his wife to have at least one child to carry on the family legacy and inherit his wealth, but the couple stood by their decision not to have children. Cena decided long ago that he didn’t want to become a father, a choice his family struggled to accept. They repeatedly tried to persuade him that having children was important, but he never changed his mind. In past interviews, Cena has explained that he sees parenthood as a huge responsibility and doesn’t believe it’s something he could fully commit to while living the life he wants. Over the years, some fans have speculated that another reason behind his decision is that he values the freedom to enjoy life with his wife without the responsibilities that come with raising children. For Cena, the decision has always been about living the life he wants with his wife and not taking on the lifelong responsibilities of parenthood.

$The occupying army was not satisfied with all the crimes, deprivation, and suffering our children have endured for more than three consecutive years. It has gone as far as issuing a decision that any child who tries to play or fly a kite will be targeted immediately. Israel continues to commit crimes against our children that are unparalleled anywhere in this world, trying to strip away everything from their childhood—even their simple toys and the few moments in which they try to escape their terrifying reality. They are trying to destroy every means that could give our children even a moment of joy, and every game that could ease even a fraction of their suffering, as if the very childhood of Gaza’s children has become a crime deserving punishment. Instead of our children being in need of protection and safety, they have become military targets. What kind of world is this, where an unarmed child is left under threat simply because he wants to fly a kite in the sky!!$

In 1984, 18-year-old Elisabeth Fritzl was taken into the basement of her family home in Amstetten by her father, Josef Fritzl. He told her he needed help installing a door, then drugged her, restrained her, and locked her inside a concealed, soundproof cellar he had built beneath the house. Over the next 24 years, Elisabeth was held there, repeatedly assaulted, and forced to give birth to seven children. One of the infants died shortly after birth, and Josef disposed of the body in a furnace. Three of the children remained confined underground with her. The other three were taken upstairs and raised by Josef and his wife, who claimed Elisabeth had run away and left the babies behind. Rosemarie Fritzl maintained she was unaware of what was happening below. The cellar had multiple locked sections, hidden passages, and systems designed to keep it concealed. Elisabeth and the children lived without natural light, fresh air, or proper medical care, under constant control and threats. The situation was exposed in 2008 when one of the children, 19-year-old Kerstin, became seriously ill and was taken to a hospital. Medical staff raised concerns, and police intervened. Josef later admitted to the crimes and was sentenced to life in a psychiatric institution. The children were removed and placed into care. Elisabeth was freed after 8,516 days in captivity.

🇺🇦🛡 I came to bid farewell to my cousin Pylyp Gogol in Pidhorodne (a suburb of Dnipro), who died defending Ukraine. He was 25. He was a grenadier in the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade Magura and was killed in May 2024 near Ocheretyne, Donetsk Oblast. For nearly two years, he was considered missing, but his body was returned during a swap of bodies in 2025, and a recent DNA test confirmed a match with his mother (my aunt). He could have completed his education, started a family, and opened his own business, but Russia killed him. The scale of this tragedy lies in the fact that we have lost thousands of our finest people – the cream of the nation.

Tucker Carlson: "The Israelis have been happy to murder tens of thousands of children in Gaza because they believe in blood guilt... They say it out loud. Amalek. We believe en blood guilt. The children are responsible for the sins of their parents, so we are gonna kill them" Tucker distorts the Biblical concept of "Amalek" to spread another antisemitic blood libel about Jews/Israelis wanting to "happily" murder children. Amalek in Jewish tradition is not a claim that children should pay for their parents’ sins. If you have to twist Jewish concepts to demonize Jews, it says everything about your agenda and nothing about the truth.
