I thought he said 20% to pay down the national debt and the other 80% back to the people? Better still ... how about 17% to the debt, and 83% back to American taxpayers. But it should be on a sliding scale, based upon how many years an individual paid taxes. A 20-year old who has paid taxes for only 2-3 years shouldn't receive as much as a 73-year old retiree like me who has paid taxes for 45+ years.

Notice how there was no mention of the commercial phrase “taxpayer”, but instead “American citizens” … that is a very good sign coming from Trump as it indicates alignment with the Republic and the Union, not the corporate “federal government” which is a subsidiary of CROWN INC.

Let's say total savings for doge was $1 trillion. 20% of that would be $200 billion. Divide that up between 340 million people, it's $588 dollars per person. I'd actually be more excited to have our dollar backed by hard assets, rather than a $600 check that wouldn't go very far
