According to her father (whom I’ve spoken to) she was targeted by mall security. The teen was with two friends who were non-Indigenous and not targeted. Her father said she was released by security afterwards, no charges. He says the family plans to pursue legal action, “Despite showing she had nothing stolen, these guards singled her out and used excessive force on her—causing emotional trauma and distress. We’re taking legal action for assault, false imprisonment, and racial discrimination. There was some controversy in the Senate yesterday that resulted in my right to speak in the chamber being temporarily revoked by the Labor Government, with the support of the Greens. This happened due to comments I made during a debate where I criticised the Greens for their apologist stance toward Islamic extremist terrorism. As a consequence, I was unable to deliver a speech I had prepared, which called for an end to the excessive use of acknowledgments and welcomes to country. Fortunately, I have strong backup in the form of One Nation Senator Malcolm Roberts 🇦🇺 who was able to deliver the speech and instigate this debate on my behalf. Even when they attempt to silence one voice, they cannot silence all of us. The will of the people will always find a way to be heard. Here are the prepared remarks I had intended to deliver: I would like to congratulate the Australian people for their overwhelming rejection of the divisive voice to Parliament at the October referendum. However, it was more than a rejection of the voice. It was a rejection of the entire Uluru Statement – all 26 pages of it. It was a rejection of a treaty and truth-telling – or more accurately, a re-write of history with an eye on financial settlements funded by non-indigenous taxpayers. It was a rejection of identity politics, grievance politics and the activist cult of victimhood. And primarily, it was a rejection of racial division. And one of the most racially divisive features of modern discourse in Australia is welcome to country ceremonies, along with acknowledgements of country. Australians – including many indigenous people – are sick and tired of them. They are sick of being told Australia is not their country, which is what these things effectively do. Welcomes and acknowledgements deny the citizenship and sovereignty held equally by all Australians. They perpetuate the falsehood that prior to 1788, nations existed on this continent. They didn’t. This is a foreign notion, an activist device imported from Canada that does not reflect the reality of Australian history. I remind the Senate of the promise made by leading voice campaigner Marcia Langton who promised no more ‘welcomes to country’ if the voice was rejected. We can only hope this promise is lived up to. Federal taxpayers forked out at least 45,000 dollars for these rituals the previous financial year, although I understand the figure could be much higher as not every government department has come clean on what they spend. It’s not even an genuine pre-settlement ritual for most aborigines. It was invented in 1976 by Ernie Dingo and Richard Walley. I acknowledge Narungga elder Kerry White from South Australia, a great contributor to the ‘no’ campaign, who said these rituals are not even being used correctly. She said last year that it should be reserved for indigenous people welcoming other indigenous people to local country, and that its use by non-indigenous Australians was just virtue-signalling. She wasn’t wrong about the virtue-signalling, that’s for sure. Ms White said: “…they’ve taken our ceremonial process and demeaned it by throwing it out there every day in every aspect of what Australian people do. And I think that is culturally wrong.” She even said ‘welcomes to country’ were an attack on indigenous culture. I also acknowledge another indigenous leader of the ‘no’ campaign, Senator Naminjimpa Price, who said recently that ‘welcomes to country’ were “definitely divisive”. I’m confident I speak for the majority of Australians in saying I wish Professor Langton had included acknowledgements of country too. They’re recited at the beginning of every parliamentary sitting day, every council meeting, and every zoom meeting held by public servants. We hear them at the conclusion of every domestic flight – you can hear the groans in the cabin every time. They have effectively lost all meaning for their constant repetition. To foster national unity, and to help put an end to racial division in this country, it’s time to leave indigenous rituals to indigenous Australians. One Nation is supremely confident we speak for the majority of all Australians regardless of race when we call for an end to welcomes and acknowledgements of country. We know that for many, the promise of an end to them motivated their no vote at the referendum. We call on this Parliament, all other Australian parliaments, all government departments, and every local government in this nation, to stop signalling virtue you don’t possess and stop dividing this country by abusing these indigenous rituals. Australians don’t want them. Australians don’t want racial division, and they said that most emphatically on 14 October at the referendum. Let’s move forward together as one people, one nation under one flag.

Theresa Tam emails reveal unethical medical experiments on Inuit babies Informed consent ignored as Theresa Tam's team subjects vulnerable children to failed drug trials, without oversight or accountability. The email correspondence, part of a massive 450,000-page disclosure made possible by Bret Sears, exposes a failed pharmaceutical program that ignored ethical standards, raising serious questions about accountability within Canada's public health system. The experimental drug in question, an RSV monoclonal antibody program, was administered to Inuit infants in Nunavik, an Inuit territory in Quebec, without proper consent or transparency. Despite concerns raised by healthcare workers about the lack of informed consent and the absence of Inuit community involvement in the decision-making process, the program proceeded. The drug, developed by AstraZeneca, was intended to treat respiratory infections, but internal PHAC emails reveal that the trial was unsuccessful. Not only did it fail to prevent hospitalizations from RSV, but the data from the trial also indicated negative effectiveness. An email dated December 16, 2019, uncovered by retired police detective and independent investigator Donald Best, reveals that Dr. Tom Wong, the Director General of Population & Public Health at Indigenous Services Canada, admitted the trial’s disappointing outcomes, noting that the program had "little chance" of preventing RSV-related hospitalizations, even at regional and tertiary hospitals. Worse yet, Wong knew that the experiment had significant ethical concerns among healthcare professionals, with no guarantees of free and informed consent. The exposure of this trial reveals a disturbing pattern of unethical medical experimentation on Indigenous children in Canada. As further detailed by Best, non-consenting Indigenous children have historically been subjected to medical trials dating back to the 1930s, including harmful tuberculosis vaccine experiments that documented fatalities, and deliberate starvation under the guise of studying malnutrition in the 40s and 50s. Best has been scrutinizing the released documents and questions whether the actions of Dr. Tam and other public health officials could lead to criminal negligence charges. If it is proven that they were aware of the risks and continued the program without informed consent, he says this could constitute criminal wrongdoing. MEDIA RELEASE | Labor refuses to rule out independent indigenous state The Albanese Labor Government today refused to rule out the establishment of an independent sovereign indigenous state in Senate question time today. One Nation leader Senator Pauline Hanson asked the question in response to a report in The Australian newspaper today which revealed an indigenous member of the referendum working group had said the power of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice to Parliament was its ability to ‘punish politicians that ignore our advice’ on legislation and funding. “First I asked if the Prime Minister endorsed these comments, and Senator Wong could or would not answer it,” Senator Hanson said. “I then asked if the Albanese government would rule out establishing seats in Parliament reserved exclusively for indigenous people if the voice demanded it. “All that Penny Wong could say – after question time was over – was that it wasn’t Labor’s policy. A city full of joy, opportunity and hope, a place where everyone can feel like they belong, where services are accessible and fair. And an anti-racist Edmonton, because I believe that true inclusion must be intentional. Thank you to Edmontonians, partners and stakeholders. From non-profits to community organizations, businesses and cultural institutions. Together we tackled emergency housing, homelessness, reconciliation, anti-racism, transit, safety, downtown revitalization, climate action, public spaces and more. What we accomplished together: ▪️More than doubled our shelter capacity and improved standards of care for our most vulnerable neighbours. ▪️We worked to secure funding and forge relationships with the province in downtown investment, new police officers, more funding for Homeward Trust, and finally - we got the Province to pay their taxes. ▪️We made public safety a priority, expanding Transit Peace Officers and building crisis diversion teams that make an incredible difference every day. ▪️We advanced reconciliation, Indigenous-led housing, and anti-racism initiatives because justice and equity are intentional and now foundational parts of our government. ▪️We enhanced our parks, revitalized recreation access, and reimagined downtown vibrancy, showing the world the beauty and the power of Edmonton on the world stage. Each of these successes, are about more than just line items on a report. These are lives changed for the better. Policies only matter when they represent the people they serve. I am deeply proud of our work with Indigenous leaders and communities. Together, we have signed historic memorandums of understanding with multiple nations including MOUs on Indigenous housing. Describing the Floating LNG project as a "must-do" initiative for Nigeria, the NNPC Ltd. GCEO, Mele Kyari, OFR, OFR, expressed the company’s readiness to secure gas feedstock towards the project. Also speaking at the occasion, the Group Managing Director, UTM Offshore Ltd., Julius Rone, expressed his delight at the partnership with NNPC Ltd., stating that this milestone achievement showcased the capability of indigenous companies to collaborate with world-class energy conglomerates to drive growth in Nigeria's energy sector. He further explained that apart from significantly cutting down on gas flaring and supporting the country's commitment to reducing carbon emissions, the project would also create over 7,000 job opportunities, contributing to the nation's economic growth and development.
