Experience a once-in-a-lifetime perspective of a solar eclipse, seen from the window of an airplane.. A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon moves directly between Earth and the Sun, aligning so precisely that it blocks the Sun’s light. Although the Sun is roughly 400 times larger than the Moon,...

DID YOU KNOW? A total solar eclipse is possible because of an incredible cosmic coincidence: the Sun is about 400 times wider than the Moon and roughly 400 times farther from Earth. That’s why they can appear nearly the exact same size in our sky.

SOLAR ECLIPSE! This Wednesday, August 12th, the path of totality will go across Russia, Greenland, Iceland and Spain. Totality lasts about 1-2 minutes when the moon blocks the sun...leading to temporary darkness. Btw, the next total solar eclipse in the *contiguous* United States will occur on August 22, 2044. #Solareclipse

A "devil horns" solar eclipse is a rare optical illusion that occurs during a partial sunrise or sunset eclipse, making the Sun appear as two glowing, fiery arcs resembling a pair of horns rising from the horizon

A Cosmic Coincidence is used to explain why the Sun & the Moon look the identical size in the Sky. The Sun being 400x Larger and also 400x further away than the Moon - is extremely convenient for NASA. Just saying.

The biblical prophecy about the sun turning dark is not about a solar eclipse; it is about a Grand Solar Minimum and global cooling. During a Grand Solar Minimum the sun is less active, the Earth is bombarded with cosmic rays, volcanic activity increases, and clouds cover the sky. The sun turning dark is mentioned in Isaiah 13:10, Ezekiel 32:7, Joel 2:10, 2:31, 3:15, Matthew 24:29, and Revelation 6:12. These passages refer to past and future civilizational collapses. The elites expect the next Grand Solar Minimum between 2030–2040, or by 2050 at the latest. That is why they are preparing while keeping you in the dark.

Last night's super blood moon during lunar eclipse. Last night, the world watched in silence as the heavens staged a dramatic performance over one of Earth's most iconic landmarks. As the Earth slid directly between the sun and the moon, a rare lunar eclipse bathed the sky in a deep, haunting crimson, creating a visual masterpiece that felt more like a painting than reality.

From the Moon, a lunar eclipse looks like a total solar eclipse, but it lasts a LOT longer. For NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, that means the team has to plan carefully for the 4 hours that the spacecraft — and its solar panels — will be in the dark and the cold. 🌑🛰 1/3

🌒☀️ THE UK’S BIGGEST SOLAR ECLIPSE SINCE 1999 IS ALMOST HERE! ☀️🌒 Good afternoon everyone, On Wednesday 12th August, people across the UK will have the chance to witness the greatest solar eclipse visible from the UK since the famous 1999 eclipse — and we won’t get another eclipse this impressive from the UK until 2081! 🤯 Exactly how much of the Sun disappears behind the Moon — and the time of maximum eclipse — will depend on where you are in the country. Some western areas will get an especially impressive view as the eclipse takes place during the evening and heads towards sunset. 🌅🌒 ⚠️ PLEASE PROTECT YOUR EYES! Never look directly at the Sun, even when most of it is covered by the Moon. Use proper certified solar-eclipse glasses or an indirect viewing method such as a pinhole projector. Ordinary sunglasses are NOT safe. 📲 Please share or forward this to your family and friends so they know there’s something rather special happening in the sky on Wednesday evening! After all, the next comparable UK opportunity is a very long wait… 2081! 😳☀️🌒

🌑🌕🌑A rare phenomenon — a “paraselene” — was observed overnight over Moscow and the surrounding region A paraselene, an optical illusion in which multiple Moon disks appear, occurs when light from the real Moon is refracted by flat ice crystals high in the atmosphere above the Earth.

On January 14, 2005, the Huygens probe descending through Titan’s atmosphere revealed one of the rarest views in space exploration. From Saturn’s moon Titan, Earth and the Moon crossed in front of the Sun as tiny shadows nearly a billion miles away. What makes it even more incredible is how rare the alignment was. A perfectly central Earth and Moon transit from Saturn’s system happens only about twice every 1,000 years. From that distance, our entire planet looked small enough to disappear into the sunlight.

Once in a millennium moment, Earth and the Moon crossing infornt of the Sun. Just hours before Huygens landed on Titan on Jan 14, 2005, there was a rare transit of Earth and the Moon across the Sun as seen from Saturn. It’s an event that happens only about once every 15 years, and a dead-center transit like that only twice per millennium.

🇪🇸🇮🇸 A rare total solar eclipse is hitting parts of Europe today, with millions getting a chance to watch the sky go dark. Iceland and northern Spain are among the best spots, with totality lasting around 2 minutes. Spain gets an especially wild view because the eclipse happens right before sunset, turning the sun into a thin crescent as it drops below the horizon. Much of the rest of Europe, Canada, the northern U.S. and northwestern Africa will still get a partial eclipse. The universe is showing off tonight, with the Perseid meteor shower peaking just hours after the eclipse. Source: CNN / Writer: Julie

So, we all know that the birth of Jesus was announced by a star in the East, a special star that rose before the Sun, and that three Magi, or Babylonian astrologers, came bearing gifts for the birth of Jesus. But what was this star? Ancient astrologers followed the movements of the planets, the Sun and the Moon in relation to the zodiac constellations. I found a specific and extremely rare conjunction of Venus and Jupiter, the two brightest planets visible in our sky, in the constellation of Leo. To make the connection even stronger, Jesus is called the Lion of Judah! Conjunctions of Jupiter and Venus occur almost every year, but what made this conjunction so special and rare was that the planets came extremely close, within less than 0.01°, and appeared as one very bright star in the morning sky, as seen from the Levant and ancient Persia. This alignment occurred in 2 BCE. To make it even more interesting, Jesus would have been exactly 33 years old in March AD 33, when the solar eclipse occurred in Pisces. Exactly 2,000 years later, in 2033, we will witness the same solar eclipse in Pisces. You cannot make this up. It is all there. The signs in the stars do not lie. Venus and Jupiter are associated with the divine masculine and feminine energies. Venus is also close by in the same sign during both eclipses. The eclipse in AD 33 was visible from, or had its greatest influence on, the South Pole, while the eclipse in 2033 will be visible from the North Pole, once again representing the opposite forces of the planet.

🚨 NASA released some new close up footage of solar flares and holy moly 😳 it doesn't even look real! NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory just released stunning close-range footage of solar flares, revealing the Sun as a maze of blazing plasma loops and chaotic magnetic fields. The new recording shows dark filaments slicing across bright, twisting arcs as massive bursts of energy erupt and reshape in real time. To put the scale in perspective: the Sun is about 1.39 million km wide, roughly 109 times the size of Earth. What looks like small sparks in the footage are actually structures larger than our entire planet. These visuals aren't just beautiful, they're a reminder of how powerful and unpredictable our nearest star truly is. - nasa
