He got the other player to move his pieces out where they are isolated while his pieces were still clustered together. Sacrifices a few pieces but leaves the defence intact, now the other guy is all over the board with minimal protection

The main issue on a draft is to prevent your opponent from getting king crown. The grandpa has failed in that. There is absolutely nothing he has done in this game.
