Otherwise known as sunset.

In Alaska, the phenomenon of experiencing both daytime and nighttime extremes is primarily due to its high latitude. Near the Arctic Circle, during summer months, Alaska can have nearly continuous daylight, known as the Midnight Sun. Conversely, in winter, parts of Alaska experience polar night, where the sun doesn't rise for several months. This is because the Earth's axis is tilted relative to its orbit around the sun, leading to variations in solar exposure at different times of the year.

@GodsTipster I went to the sub Antarctic in the Navy and was broad daylight at midnight. It was freaky

The awesome doings of God

Explore the beautiful area.

I worked for an oil company decades ago that required working at their site in Deadhorse, AK, right on the Arctic Ocean. Summer stints were wild, need heavy blinds wrapped with tin foil to get any sleep.

I went on one in late June & was surprised to walk out on the deck to watch the sun set at 11 pm 🤣

Woww Amazing cruise..😍😍

Alaska is a mysterious place

where the sun never truly sets due to the tilt of the Earth's axis! This means that during an Alaska cruise, you could potentially witness both day and night at the same time. Imagine the surreal beauty of watching the sun dip just below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, while the landscape around you remains bathed in a soft twilight glow...
