This is one of those speed square tricks that makes angle work way less annoying. Instead of pulling out an angle finder or doing the whole “subtract from 90” math every time, he shows a quick way to read the angle directly off the square so you can just set your saw and go. Super handy once you understand how it works. Would you rather use a speed square like this or just grab a digital angle finder?

80% of pitching velocity comes from rotation. The biggest mistake I see is guys trying to rotate by pushing hard down the mound. They try to push to create as much linear momentum as possible. That’s actually the wrong way to approach it. When you push, it becomes much harder to rotate effectively. Rotation is where most of your pitching velocity comes from. Hip to shoulder separation is responsible for about 80 percent of your velocity. If you take away from that separation, you’re taking away from your velocity. That’s why even from your knees you should be able to throw about 80 percent of your top velocity. What we want to do is maximize rotation and create as much separation as possible. Your pelvis fires toward the target while the ribcage, shoulders, and pec stay back. That stretch creates torque through your torso. That torque is what propels the arm through the throw. Switch 2 will have a setting to stop charging at 90% to reduce battery deterioration! “The Nintendo Switch 2 system stops charging when it reaches about 90% remaining battery. HOW TO DRIFT IN FORZA HORIZON 6 ON CONTROLLER FOR BEGINNERS! Disclaimer, I’m not exactly Drift King, some people make me look like Donkey Kong. I do it well enough for people who are completely new to drifting to ask me how I do it, so I’m going to explain how I do it, as someone who is “decent” at best at it. First of all, you’re going to want to change your transmission to Manual so that you can maintain a consistent drift, as the speed of your vehicle determines the angle of your drift, and with Automatic, you can’t control your speed. It doesn’t matter, just personal preference here, you can do your gear changes with the buttons, but if you own an Elite Controller, you can put the paddles to good use here. I like to equip only two paddles, preferably the larger ones, and map the left to X (Downshift) and map the right to B (Upshift). You also want to turn off your Traction and Stability control assists to allow your car to slide. My vehicle of preference is the Silvia Spec R, and the code for the tune I use is 146 936 201. I am using a RWD Vehicle for reference, but some people prefer AWD. For the most part, you’re going to be driving in third and fourth gear. Third gear is great for small roads and tight, closed corners where you need a sharper drift, and fourth gear is great for wide roads and corners because the extra speed is going to throw your car further forwards and make your drift angle more shallow. It’s important to look at the size of the road and the corner you have to take and judge what gear you need to be in as the speed of your car makes all of the difference. That being said, these are not real cars, if you’re going too fast, I much prefer to hold the gas and brake pedal at the same time whilst taking the drift as opposed to engine braking. It almost makes you float around the corner at a consistent speed and gives you more control. If you are on the inside edge of the corner you’re taking, you can hold your foot brake and handbrake at the same time and your car will almost push back a little giving you more space to angle yourself correctly. You should never boo a driver that's clean, doesn't do anything dirty, on track is respectful, and on top of it is super fast. What's wrong with people? That was embarrassing. And, had it been that Piastri was a second a lap faster than him and somehow Lando was winning because a lot of things were happening, his car breaking down every time, then you could start thinking, okay, that's really not cool. That's not fair. But that wasn't the case. And in the second half, Norris has been faster right at the beginning as well, last year as well. So there's this whole middle of the season where Piastri was driving a lot better than Norris and was getting the points. Norris had an engine blowing up, not Piastri. And so those fans, they don't look at that either. You have to look at the whole picture, at the whole season. And suddenly if your favorite is starting to go backwards, you just got to bite the bullet and accept it. Your favorite is just going backwards. That doesn't mean that the other one is treated better or the other one is undeserving just because the one you're a fan of is not winning right now. That’s really wrong. If you're a fan of the sport, then you have to be a fan of the sport and understand when your driver is maybe not cutting it at this point in time, even though he was before and he will in the future again. It's all a question of timing. But that's the price we have to pay now with social media and how big F1 has become. It's very passionate. The people are passionate and once, you know, fans come from fanatism, you stop thinking, when you get in that mindset and it happens to all of us. You want something so much that you get attached and you cannot - it's hard to start seeing reality. So you will try to mold the reality to your thought process and if your champion is not winning then it cannot be his fault. It has to be something from the outside. It has to be the team destroying his chance or not favoring and so on and so on and so on. But there's nothing concrete behind those comments. It's pure fandom and it'll always be like this. And ultimately it's not a bad thing. You know drivers at that - sportsman at that level have to grow a thick skin. If not, you don't deserve to be there. You just have to have a thick skin because they're all very happy to get the compliments. They love it when it's just positive, but it gets balanced out with negatives and you need to be able to take and accept the negatives as well. It goes both ways. You cannot have the good. You just have to be a thick skin and know that it's part and parcels of what's going on. And in one month, it will be forgotten and maybe everything will change and it be the other driver that suddenly will be criticized and so on. So, it's just that's just the way it is.”

But when you are under a lot of pressure, and no time to react other than just survive to scale, you have to make a decision that increases speed and velocity! Because this speed and velocity allows us to build things quickly enough to survive. We knew that backend (called "API" at the time), a monolith: this will prevent speedy development from happening. So we made a declaration: anything that is NEW needs to be built outside of that (the "API"), as a microservice. Then there's a team that's dedicated to decomposing that monolith into a bunch of services. This project (to decompose the monolith) was called Darwin. The philosophy we operated with, at the time, was that no team should be blocking anybody else. (...) So that's how it came up to thousands of microservices. It was out of necessity ,so that we can just fan out and solve every problem all at once. After things stabilized and the business became more mature, and growth was not as violent as that anymore, then the team, we actually had a project called Arc, to rationalize services."
