@SenSHenderson When you said it won’t go through parliament, how did you mean? The only way that can happen is if it’s subordinate legislation. So I’m a bit confused about what you meant.

This morning the Senate passed the Fair Work Amendment (Baby Priya’s) Bill 2025 which provides that employers must pay parental leave to employees who suffer the tragedy of a stillbirth. I moved an amendment to the Bill which would have prevented intentional terminations of pregnancy potentially being treated as stillbirths for the purposes of the Fair Work Act, including paid parental leave provisions which this Bill creates. Unfortunately, my amendment was defeated, and the Bill passed. Thank you to the following Senators who supported my amendment: Senator Leah Blyth Senator Sarah Henderson Malcolm Roberts 🇦🇺 Senator Babet Senator Jessica Collins Jacinta Nampijinpa Senator Tyron Whitten Senator Sean Bell

Australians now have platforms like X where they can speak without institutional gatekeepers and the political class of the left hates that. Instead of winning the argument, they are rewriting the rules of speech itself and calling it “safety.” This is not about protecting people. It is about controlling the conversation. Please” Owen said After some additional dialogue, the protester told the crowd over a mic “I want to disperse so no one gets hurt”, but protesters remained in the area.
