I have what may be a silly question but... When pairings or singles matches are set.. Do the captains hand in a sheet with a list of 1 to 4 w/out knowing the other team lineup or do they set each pairings against a pairings they feel is a good match?

The Ryder Cup would be much more fun to watch if they had 6 matches in the first 4 sessions using a blind draw for pairings and matchups. It makes no sense that 1/3 of the team is not used for two days.
