Artists shouldn't have to pay to submit if the gallery and events are free to attend, imo. That turned me away. I've had artwork hang in the US Capitol Building for free based on judgement alone.

Huge recommend to check it out. It's a really an amazing and unique venue to find amazing artists as well as finding artsy people. The events are always fun to go to with your friend or on your own.
