thank you! it’s an “anybeam up”, which you can grab on amazon in the US. uses an ultimems HD309 under the hood.

hey! i love this - how’d you get it to project without any background color, if that makes sense? is that just how laser projectors work?

yeah! i think that’s the main benefit to MEMS projectors for me, being able to get “true blacks”. this is just a projection of a web page with a #000 background.

How dark does the room need to be for this to work?

MEMS projectors definitely have their downsides — namely brightness (35 lumens) and resolution (720p). you’ll find it hard to see in daylight.
