According to insights from experts, the entirety of the meat from a hunted elephant is typically unutilized. This practice represents a traditional expression of gratitude among the local villagers in Zimbabwe. 🇿🇼 😋

Calligraphy brings together lettering, artistic expression and craftsmanship. The Kerala government is set to begin discussions on establishing an academy dedicated to the art form. What could a dedicated institution mean for calligraphers and the future of this distinctive artistic practice?

Using AI Instead Of Writing Turns Your Brain Into Cheez Whiz Writing is thinking. Writing is the practice of sorting through the flotsam and jetsam of your own consciousness and transforming your thoughts and feelings into coherent, logical expression. Reading by Tim Foley.

For many students, their faith is the core of who they are. Everyone should be free to learn and show up as their true selves. Today U.S. Department of Education released guidance on constitutional protected religious expression; protecting one's right to practice their faith, or no faith at all.

Sex slavery is sanctioned in the Quran in 15 different verses. The expression “ma malakat aymanukum” meaning “those whom your right hand possess” is a Quranic innovation that codifies and regulates sex slavery in Islam through those 15 verses and among Muslims. Having sex slaves was never considered an immoral act in Islam and that is why the vile practice persists in the 21st century in Islamic countries.

Just when you think Claire Fox couldn’t be more brilliant … she is. Here’s Claire on Alien Culture. “We do not think for example that stoning women for adultery is modern, that it’s just a cultural practice, what’s wrong with that? We do not think that child marriage is an interesting cultural expression. We have to say that’s a backward medieval thing. So ‘Alien culture’ was well chosen, it’s importing Alien culture” Exactly what we were all thinking🔥

THE LAW OF RECIPROCITY Sustaining what nourishes you requires your nurturing in return. Everything that's feeding you, you must continuously invest in it to remain. It takes wisdom to practice the law of reciprocity; when you stop feeding what's feeding you, it is capable of dying. It also takes wisdom to know that prayerlessness is an expression of pride and not just sin - a declaration of independence outside the assistance of God or a declaration of self-sufficiency devoid of God's guidance. Among the Mursi of Ethiopia’s Omo Valley, the large clay lip plates worn by some women are among the most recognizable cultural traditions in the world, with the practice typically beginning during adolescence when the lower lip is gradually pierced and stretched over time to hold increasingly larger plates, a process tied to ideas of beauty, maturity, identity, and cultural pride within the community, while the size and decoration of the plates can also reflect personal expression and social recognition, turning what may appear shocking to outsiders into a powerful symbol of belonging and heritage shaped by generations of tradition in one of Africa’s most culturally distinct regions

Westerners have become second-class citizens in their own countries. A public school in Calgary banned all food from its cafeteria and lunchroom during Ramadan. Westerners were told it was inappropriate to say “Merry Christmas.” Now those same Westerners are expected to surrender public spaces so others can practice their religion. The Freedom Convoy faced wartime measures to suppress constitutional rights, while Al-Quds Day protesters enjoy freedom of expression. Look across the Atlantic and the pattern becomes even clearer. Pakistani grooming gangs were covered up, while UK citizens are jailed for “offensive” social media posts. Western courts increasingly hand out lighter sentences to violent offenders based on race. None of this is compassion. It is the slow inversion of a civilization.

Timothée Chalamet and LeBron James explain why preparation is everything Timothée Chalamet: “On Marty Supreme but also the last Dune I just filmed this past summer. You overprepare. You're too prepared and then on the day I can let loose like a freestyle for lack of a better expression because I know how prepared I am” LeBron James: “I will go back to my high school coach. He would always say, ‘Listen, we going to practice hard as hell. We're going to make practice hard as hell every single day because it's going to make the games that much easier’” “I think that's what it's all about. I think that's what kicked into my head about just the process. If you go out and prepare yourself and you're process-oriented and you're also visualizing what it's going to look like, visualizing being in that moment, visualizing living in your own vessel like right then and there” “I think once the director says action or once the jump ball happens, it's like I already know what I'm doing. I'm locked in. I've been here already. I’ve already visioned this. This is already written”

A group of ultra-Orthodox Israelis were captured on camera spitting at the entrance of the Saint James Monastery in occupied East Jerusalem, a historic Christian site located in the Old City. The incident is the latest in a series of documented acts of harassment targeting Christian clergy, churches and pilgrims in Jerusalem. Such attacks are rooted in extremist religious beliefs held by some ultra-Orthodox and nationalist Jewish groups, who view Christianity as idolatrous and consider spitting a symbolic act of rejection. The practice has been openly defended by some extremists as a religious expression. Christian leaders and human rights groups have repeatedly warned that Israeli authorities fail to act against perpetrators, allowing harassment of Christians, vandalism of churches and verbal abuse of tourists to continue unchecked.

Islamic pressure in Turkey seems to know no bounds. At the #Armenian church and cultural center, Surp Vortvots Vorotman in #Istanbul, a salawat — an Islamic blessing upon the Prophet Muhammad — was recited. This raises a legitimate question: since when did such a practice become acceptable in the Armenian Apostolic Church? What is the point of reciting it before an Armenian cross, given that there are already more than enough mosques in #Turkey? It is becoming increasingly difficult to view this as an expression of interfaith tolerance. Rather, it appears to be a blatant erosion of Christian identity and an encroachment upon the sanctity of Armenian spiritual space. Surp Vortvots Vorotman is an #Armenian church and cultural center, where Armenian prayer and the Christian word should be heard — not an Islamic salawat.
